    I have an integrated HDMI in my Mac laptop but with the dongle I can put it out of the way and it actually seems to work better (less tension on the HDMI cable). I bought this to go with my projector, which is occasionally used by someone with the integrated HDMI. Very useful if you have a Macbook Air model.
