I have a 1,000 sq. ft. attached garage and a 700 sq. ft. detached garage where I spend considerable time tinkering with my collector cars. Wanting to have some tunes while I worked I tried a couple of different radios and tuner/receivers, but both garages have numerous T-8 fluorescent light fixtures and the commercial ballasts in the fixtures caused excessive radio frequency interference. The static with the lights on was intolerable and I contemplated changing out all of the ballasts to residential grade, but that would be a pain and fairly expensive so I went to Best Buy and explained my situation to a service representative. I told him I wasn't looking for a high end stereo system, but just something I could listen to tunes with while working in the garage. He suggested I buy the Insignia Bluetooth Speaker 2, download the Tune In Radio app to my iPhone and then have the ability to listen to thousands of radio stations via my Wi-Fi connection. The representative told me he had one that he used regularly and felt it would suit my needs, so I went ahead and made the purchase, plus it was on sale and was really quite inexpensive. The instructions for the speaker were straightforward, it paired up easily to my iPhone, and I was amazed at the variety of stations available through Tune In Radio. I was also amazed at how the little speaker could "fill up" the 1,000 and 700 sq. ft. garages at less than half volume and still provide very respectable sound quality. Really solid quidance from the Best Buy representative and the speaker was a great value at a very modest price.

I'm usually not a big fan of Bluetooth wireless speakers because of the lack of quality but this particular one surprised me. I've had a couple of different kinds over the years and this is definitely one of the better ones. The sound isn't super muffley and the volume output is quite strong. Just be sure when you buy these things that if you plan on putting him in your bathroom there either splash-proof or waterproof otherwise they'll go bad.

Small and easy to carry this is a great and cheap speaker to have that has surprisingly good sound.
