Customers are saying

Customers admire the Single-Zone Induction Cooktop's fast heating speed and ease of use, frequently praising its convenient size and affordability. However, some users note compatibility issues with certain cookware and find the fan to be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of cleaning outweighs the reported drawbacks.

This is a really good value for a quick burner. It doesn't with all cookware.

This single burner induction cooktop works pretty well ... for the most part. It heats (compatible) cookware quickly and does a great job with boiling. For low-power simmering, it goes on, then off, then on, then off again instead of maintaining a constant power lever. So your liquid will boil a few seconds, then stop, and so on. The other not-so-great thing about this unit is that it really only has about a 4" diameter heating area. Making an omelet with an 11" skillet is impossible because the middle overcooks before the edges cook. So the center of the pan will be much hotter than the outer areas. I've noticed similar results with hotcakes and burgers. For those, you'd have to keep them in the center. Overall, this is a handy kitchen appliance for the price. It's portability makes it easy to take camping or in hotel rooms, or for parties and situations where you'd need an extra burner.

We’ve had this for one year. It gets hot fast, as expected. The problem is uneven cooking. Gets a skillet to an inferno—in the middle only. We threw out a 10” ceramic-coated non stick skillet. If you’re just going to use it for boiling water, GET IT. If you plan to sauté, choose something else.

Bought this for my camper so I would have an additional cooktop. I use this more than I ever thought I would. It was the deal of the day so I got it at a good price. You have to use specific cookware that will stick to the magnet they supply. So some of my pans won’t work on it but others did. Overall very pleased with how fast it heats up and even it cooks.

I got it on special!!! It was to teach my son with special needs to use a stove. I I liked about it it turns off by it self in case you forget. That was the reason I bought it. I love it because you can take it anywhere. It's not that big. I love it!!!

powerful unit excellent value. the controls are a bit confusing at first and the preset temperatures take a bit of getting used to but this is an affordable way to try induction cooling. Just make sure you have a decent pan that is compatible!

We have not cooked indoors on our propane stove in the camper since purchasing this! Not only does it save space, its so quick to heat up and cooks everything evenly, something and open flame will never do! Outdoor kitchens are the best when camping, especially when they don't require an open flame!

Picked this up on sale for $30 and so far have been impressed with the functionality and quality. Given the lesser-known Insignia brand I wasn't expecting much, but it is actually well-made and works well. Induction cook tops are the way to go, super fast cook times and easy to maintain a desired temperature.

You learn a lot of new things once you buy it. I bought it to experience cooking on induction before completely replacing my electric stove to induction. I learnt that You need to have pans and pota those are compatible with induction technology. Personally i feel like there are so many limitations in this type of cooking. This unit it self is good to try. Energy wise it is very efficient.

Purchased this item to avoid using the gas stove in our house during the summer. It works great with the pans I had to purchase and is easy to use. I love that it doesn’t weight much so it’s easy to put away when not in use. No complaints or issues. I definitely recommend.

I was larger than I thought and found out you couldn't use it on a wood slab countertop. It was the same size as my Keurig metal storage case so it made a perfect spot for it. I filled the stainless steel pan I bought for the induction cooker with water. It took about three minutes for the water to boil on medium. It is a nice addition to my basement bar, we are planning to live in it when we have the rest of the house remodeled.

Works well, how fast it heats depends on cookware. Some cookware that is induction approved but with minimal magnetism is slow to heat. Cast iron heats up in an instant, Use care to use smooth bottom cast iron if going that route.

It is a good induction burner. Very fast to heat up, boil water, etc. The biggest draw back is the temperature control. You get the choice of 200 degrees or 240 degrees, not that close to boiling. Great price on deal of the day.
