Disconnects easy from a stationary laptop. Completely useless if the laptop is moving. It is a design flaw.

No problems thus far using this as the main power adapter for my HP Spectre X360 (whose own charger completely fell apart after one accidental kick). It does what it's supposed to do and feels solid in the places it should feel solid. I initially purchased an open box unit though that was DOA. Not sure if this was just an isolated incident with my local Best Buy, but I do wonder about the longevity of this product. Only time will tell. On the plus side, when I returned the DOA unit this item had gone on sale, so I was actually able to exchange it and even get a slight refund. I think if you can get it on sale then it's a real easy choice, especially given the limited number of USB-C laptop chargers currently available at brick & mortar stores. Hopefully it will hold up over time!

I bought this as a spare charger for a brand-new Acer laptop which came with a conventional charger and also accepts USB-C charging. This was not the only solution: My local BestBuy had several way-too-expensive Mac USB-C chargers of various wattage ratings, and some third-party chargers that required buying a separate (expensive) Type C cable. But this Insignia model was the cheapest and has a built-in Type C cable. It charges my Acer fast, stays fairly cool, works great, no problems at all.
One minor disadvantage: This is a fairly big and heavy 95-watt unit, weighing 12 ounces, like the big Mac chargers. The tiny Acer 45-watt unit weighs less than 6 ozs. So I'm using the Insignia as my desk charger and the Acer charger for travel. Big advantage: The Insignia charger will power anything that takes USB-C charging, and more and more devices can do that.

I left my Lenovo ThinkPad charger at a company office I don't regularly go to. Since this office was over an hour away I ran to BestBuy which had this on sale. I have been using this as my Home Office changer since. I got the Lenovo charger back 2 weeks later and keep it in my laptop bag. This charger works a lot faster as the origional is 65 watts.
I do feel the cord is short and wish it used a USB-C connector from the base instead, but you don't have to worry about plugging the small UCB-C connect out on accident. It is also very big to be plugged into and hanging off a wall outlet. An extra USB-C port would have been nice.
Overall still a very good charger.

I went on vacation a couple weeks ago and took my laptop. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring along the cord to allow me to charge it. I stopped at Best Buy with my laptop and the sales rep identified this charger as the appropriate charger to fit my laptop. It did.
This unit performed its function well. The only fault I would have with it is that the weight of the unit where it plugs into the wall is a little heavy and does not always allow for a secure fit into the wall outlet. Once you find an outlet that's willing to hold the unit then you will be in business.

There're two reasons why I chose this product over the authentic Apple power supply / charger. The first reason is that the USB C cable is permanently attached to the power supply. I wanted a power supply that I could connect to my USB C hub that I use with my late 2017 MacBook Pro on my desk. Therefore, if I traveled with my computer, I would not have to unplug the power supply. What I found with the Apple power supply is that sometimes the USB C cable can come loose under the desk. Having a permanently fixed cable solves this problem. The second reason is that this 90 W power supply cost a fraction of the cost of the Apple power supply.
The median for my title is that the first power supply I bought did not work and I had to exchange it in the store. I told the clerk in the store that I would like a second one, but to please test it before I leave so that I make sure it is working. Based on other customer reviews, I would recommend anyone who buys this product to test it works. My experience is that these types of products can be DOA. If there's going to be a problem with the power supply, it is probably going to be DOA.
My last comment is the size of the power supply. If you are going to travel with the power supply and do not need 90 W of power, I would suggest hey different model because this one is large. If you are going to leave it under a desk such as I do, the size should not matter.

This replacement power cord does the minimum. Allows your device to charge. Due to the size and weight of the head of the device, it easily pulls oot of the plug with very little effort, and often without warning or knowledge. Unless you're happy cuddling with an outlet, this cord is not nearly long enough to allow your device to be functional while being charged.

While not the most compact brick out there, it's significantly smaller in total volume than my work laptop's power brick and cord. As it's USB-C, it also powers my Pixel 3 XL, my MacBook and my Switch. Soooo convenient having to carry around only one power adapter! Keep in mind that the cord isn't that long.

Overall, it serves its purpose but there are a number of design flaws that keep it from being a good replacement for the apple power adapter. The cord is very short, if you have to plug it in upside down it falls out of the plug, and it gets very hot to the touch.

Great product. Works fairly well on my Surface Book, Dell XPS and all my USB-C phones and toys. cord is a little short and charger block weights a ton and that's the only reason I gave it 1 less STAR. Otherwise I would recommend to anybody looking for an Apple alternative!

Fast charger, perfect for my hp elitebook...
But, not really a good travel replacement. It is clunky and in order to stay plugged in, must be plugged into the top outlet rendering the bottom useless.
It is heavy. That is why I only leave this on my desk for charging devices when at work.

Works really well with my HP Spectre and Lenovo T440... they both charge fast. My only complaint would be the length of the cable, it’s not very long. If you plan on working and charging at the same time, you need to be sitting pretty close to a power outlet. Still a great product!

Doesn't charge after time.

I purchased this charger late Spring to replace my worn, Dell-brand one. It worked fine for a few months, but over the past few weeks, it has essentially deteriorated, no longer charging my laptop or USB-C. The issue isn't that it's saying it is charging when it really is; the issue is that it doesn't show that the device is charging altogether.
Additionally, the product is physically unstable. The weight of the wall-plug often pulls it the charger of the outlet, meaning you could think you're charging when you're really not. While it's nice that both ends of the cord are USB-C, they do not securely stay in either the wall adapter or your computer's charging port.

Product works great. Using it with HP spectre x360. Charges fine, none of that charging not charging stuff like with other third part 90w chargers. Chord should be longer, you need the outlet to be on your desk basically.

Be sure to check your charging needs as this tops out at 90w. Large brick so will need full access to an outlet to plug in. Great option for second charger, wouldn't recommend as travel charger due to size of brick.

When this is on sale for $34.99, this is the best value 90 watts USB charger you can get: I shop for one on Ebay, Amazon, etc. After trying out one for couple months, I was impress at it I bought 3 more. The the same price as an Apple 80-ish watt charger, you can get 2 of these. I use it to charge my MacBook Pro (that needs 80-watts), iPad Pro, Switch, and anything else that charges via USB-C. This could charge any ultraportable laptop that charges over USB-C. This specific purchase is my 5th one!
