Amazing little dongle

I’ve had it for a long time now it’s very sturdy and it’s been working strong to connect my laptop to any and everything that could be connected via HDMI. The price point was amazing versus buying a Belcon and I can’t say that I’ve had any issues that could’ve been solved by buying a more expensive product.

I have yet to notice any visual lag and am writing this right now using it to look at my monitor's screen instead of the one on my laptop. This has definitely helped me in my ability to multitask as a college student!

Plug and play? depends on the HDMI socket!

I have 3 ports on my LG TV, only one port is "plug and play" connecting both video and audio. It is labeled "ARC" see photo (middle #2 HDMI port on this TV). The insignia box says "The USB-C port on our device must support DP Alt Mode." The USB-C port on my "device," macbook air, was not the problem. The box does not say anything about the port on the TV. Find your HDMI ARC port and the product is plug and play and works great. Just wasted an hour figuring it out.

Great USB-C to HDMI Adapter

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Was staying at a hotel and I realized my laptop did not have an HDMI connection, just the USB-C, so the local best buy had this in stock and I ordered this, picked up within an hour so I could watch Hulu on the hotel TV from my laptop. This adapter works very well. Plug and play, I don't think the laptop needed to download the driver as it worked right away. It may have downloaded it quick and I may not have noticed. Defiantly worth the money. Its small and can be useful possibly with my cell phone. Haven't tested that theory yet.
