USB-C Reader to Travel from Camera To Computer
PhotoJoe Posted
Even in the digital age, the journey of creating memorable images doesn't stop after the shutter is clicked. Once the photos are taken the task to move them from camera to computer is necessary but often time-consuming and a little clumsy. A capable card-reader is the missing link to insure that the files make the trip safely. What I've found is that most (if not all) of the card readers seem to be a generation or more behind the best available read/write speeds. Which is why I am giving this USB-C reader 5 Stars. It has read my SD cards and Micro SD cards in record time. Having had multiple card readers over the years has given me a sense of which ones work better once they-re connected. One more interesting item to mention. The slot for MicroSD cards is made just for the small card. That means that you do not need the SD Card "wrapper." This card reader will read those micro cards directly. (See photos.) I definitely recommend this.

I used this on my recent vacation to transfer my photos from my digital camera to my phone to be shared with family and friends back home. Very small and compact, I appreciate the fact that I do not need to bring a separate cable. It also plugs into my laptop. I will be using this again in the future.

Plug and Play, easy

I like the little pig tail so it doesn't stick out from the laptop as some others do. Also nice is the micro card clicks in so you know it is properly inserted. It is just plug and play on my MacBook Air.

Amazing for such a simple device. No one in my home has a laptop that takes sd cards anymore, talk about going backwards. This connects to my and my partners laptop, AND it connects to my cellphone so if I feel like I need to unload my photos to my phone or want to use the ai features on my Samsung cell I can work on the go!!

Compact, fast, and just works
ALEXANDER Posted
This little card reader has been exactly what I needed for offloading photos and video footage. It's USB-C only, which is perfect since most of my devices have moved away from USB-A, and the dual slots (SD + microSD) mean I can read both card types at once without swapping anything in and out. Transfer speeds have been quick — no noticeable lag pulling files off either card, and it's been completely plug-and-play with no drivers or extra software needed. The white finish looks clean and the build feels sturdy enough for tossing in a bag without worrying about it. Size-wise, it's small enough to keep on a keychain or in a laptop sleeve, which is a nice touch compared to some bulkier readers. For under $30, it's a solid, no-frills accessory if you regularly move footage off cameras, drones, or dash cams.
