Once a month I run the projector at my church, mostly for the words to the songs sung during the service, but sometimes I need to run an MP4 download, which I cannot from the church's Windows Vista laptop, This means I need to use my Windows 10 laptop to show these videos. This adapter allows me to connect my laptop to the church's projector whatever needs to be shown during the service.

Intended to purchase an HDMI-VGA but grabbed the USB because it was right there in front of me and the price was good. Nice because it frees up the HDMI for the TV. More than handles the signal going to an old KDS monitor and that is while being plugged into an Insignia 4 port hub. Good purchase in the end and overall have not had any bad experiences with Insignia branded items. Best Buy did right.

I already had a monitor plugged into my VGA port on the back of my Desktop. My desktop is apparently prehistoric because it doesn't have a HDMI cable on the back. I had a second monitor in storage, which also only had VGA ports (I think it's a sign that I need to start upgrading my electronics, huh?), and I desperately needed a second monitor to make the workflow on a project go smoothly. I ran to Best Buy to purchase this and it was super easy to install, literally just plug into a USB port, connect the VGA cable and voilà!

This desktop does not take up too much room. It is compact and easy to use.

I brought this to connect my flat screen tv to my computer. It worked wonders!

I have a newer flip screen laptop and had difficulty connecting to a second monitor because there were no ports that would allow me to do so. This was the perfect adapter to bridge the gap between newer computers/laptops and older external a/v equipment, monitors, projectors, etc... I am happy with the purchase.

Working remotely has been a challenge without have my two screens to use at home. When I went to Best Buy and one of the Salesmen showed me this device, I had doubts but it was the best thing I could ever ask for. This worked like a charm. I am able to view both screens and work much faster just like I'm at work. Great device!

Great price - easy to install - great quality - definitely recommend

This converter is being used with a 2.0 port - it works. The price point was very high but the Amazon version I bought prior to this was junk. Not sure why I still try to buy any electronics from Amazon. Best Buy is still my go to and customer service is always great. This device fired up after downloading the driver. My computer is almost 10 years old and it works just fine. Would get a 5 if the price was not so high.

I bought a VGA-USB converter of Amazon and it totally didn’t work. I previously had an Insigna converter, but Best Buy was out of stock. I ended up ordering it online and it came within a couple of days. And, of course, it worked perfectly. My son now has two external monitors on his laptop!!

I was having a problem setting up dual monitors. The settings weren't holding and wasn't able to adjust resolution, color, etc on monitor 2. Decided maybe the HDMI connection was the problem and bought this adapter so I could change to a VGA connection. That fixed my problem and now everything works great.

I have purchased several of these and they work well. It is easy to set up and not too expensive.

Our church had an older VGA projector that still works but a 2019 computer that did not have a VGA input. This adapter works wonderfully with the computer and the projector. Mind you it is not a plug and play adapter on my HP. You have to tweak a few areas such as sound but that was easy to find on goggle.
