I use this to hook my macbook up to an older monitor that only has VGA connections. So far it has been very dependable without any issues.
This is a great adapter to have on hand when you need to connect devices which use the 2 types of connectors on this adapter. I used it to connect an external monitor to my laptop.

The adapter works great with my MacBook Pro. Its compact and so far no issues.

Great connection to have a monitor connected to the laptop either directly or through a docking station. New laptops do not come with VGA connection anymore; this is a good product to reuse your monitor and VGA cable

Necessary adapter to connect various devices. I use this one to add a monitor to my Chromebook

The Insignia USB Type C to VGA adaptor is a simple and petite devise to connect that second computer monitor. Its size won me over, though it's true that the trio dongle is more functional (at about twice the price).

I needed an extra adaptor for my new MacBook Pro and was looking at the expensive Apple adaptors... then I saw this. Ended up giving it a try... it works perfect! So glad I didn't spend the extra money on the Apple branded piece. No complaints here!
Granted it's not used very much anymore, but I wanted to have one just in case. Using this with my MacBook and it works as designed. (And no, you don't get 4K :) )

I Bought this for my Chromebook to use with an old projector. Works great, no issues so far. This was after I had purchased and returned a similar item from Amazon that was less expensive, but it didn't work. You get what you pay for.

I have a customer that only has VGA in their conference rooms. I did not know this and found out just before a presentation. I went to Best Buy and found this as a solution and worked perfect.

This one works for my old Dell VGA monitor. It saved me from buying a docking station. It was compatible with my Sony laptop.

Works great. No issues. Remember vga does not transmit sound so you still need an audio cable if using for presentations.

I use this adapter to connect my Acer monitor to my Lenovo ThinkPad laptop. Very easy to install and works perfectly. I run 2 monitors off my laptop.

I'm working from home with an older monitor with only VGA connector and my work laptop does not have a VGA outlet, but it has a USB Type-C. So this adapter is perfect, and it was a great price.

This was exactly what I needed to hookup my MacBook Air computer to a big screen monitor. The salesmen and Geek Squadall helped m know exactly how to do it and the part I needed.

Nice and easy. Just plugged the monitor cord in the VGA end and the USB-C into the hub and it worked. No software installation required.

I needed this for a business trip where I couldn't assume I'd always have an HDMI connection for presentations. Stuck this in my bag just to be on the safe side. Only needed to use it twice so far, but it's worked well.

Product has a simple purpose, but does it well. Using a 2017 MacBook Pro and external monitor and no problems with video quality or resolutions compared to other computers I have used in the past with the same monitor.

I was about to give a presentation requiring projection from my laptop. No VGA output! Found this adapter at a reasonable price, and it worked well. Only issue is that it requires a USB C output which may not be that common yet.

This is a great adapter but keep in mind it is only ONE WAY. you can only have it USBc TO VGA, not the other way around. (display has vga and source is usbc) would be a 5 star review if they guy in the store didn't lie to me and tell me its both ways...
