we were looking for a simple bluetooth speaker, but found this Google asst. smart speaker on sale. works great as a bluetooth speaker, and we've enjoyed the google asst. aspect. Since its often on sale, its a great value.

Needed something to control my music from the shower. This definitely did the trick. Keep away from water of course! Setup was a bit tedious because it needed an update right out of the box but it wasnt too bad. Sound quality is awesome!

These smart speakers are an incredible deal. They work just as well as Google Homes, sound great, and best of all include a battery to take it anywhere. Much more useful than just a bluetooth speaker. Purchased 2 and wish we had more.

the sound and bass on thsi device compared to Google native "home" speakers is huge. these have very decent bass and can be carried around the house for about 4 hours until the battery drains.

This speaker is portable, great sound quality and has the Google Assistant built in. It can even be paired with another one for stereo sound. They make a great gift! I would recommend this to anyone with anything Google in their home!

The device sounds good and it's nice to have the portability. Not the nicest looking, would be nice to have a bit more functional display. I'd recommend this over the smaller non-portable model especially when on sale.

It has nice bass compared to a Google mini. I have had it for two years and often use the battery only out in the yard. Battery streaming to Google music usually lasts at least four hours at half volume.

sounds great, I love this Google assistant smart speaker, it works great, answers all my questions and plays all my music easily from my Google play account. especially great if you get a great discount like I did!

I have a Google Home, but this speaker sounds BETTER! The only drawback is this unit does not have the same firmware as the Google products. For instance, you cannot make telephone calls from this speaker like you can from a Google speaker product (Home, Mini, Max). I imagine this is to done intentionally. Other than that one difference, I cannot tell of any other significant differences. I would definitely mark this as a BUY item if you are looking for a Google speaker. I was so impressed that I did buy a second unit for my office. I gave this a 4 star rating for the simple fact that it does not have all of the "bell and whistles" that a Google speaker does. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would! I do not believe you can go wrong with this purchase!!

First of all, I bought this on sale for $35. At $35, this is an absolute STEAL! I mean, even at $50 it is worth it and a good buy. I have used an Echo first gen and second gen speaker, dots, and Google home mini's and this speaker easily rivals them. I am truly impressed. The only con I would say is the microphones are a little weak since if you are playing music and its loud, it wont always hear you if you try to say "Hey Google" over the music. This is something the Echo's do incredibly well. But other than that, it is a win win. For the record, I have heard that Google home speakers that aren't made by Google have been having issues with routines and such, but since I do not use routines, and only use it for alarms, daily briefings, music, and random questions, I haven't run into this issue.

I had a plug-in Insignia speaker already and decided to get the portable one this time. It is BIG! Everything works well and the setup was not difficult. I like the cordless portability of this speaker. It is BIG!

I got this for a gift for.my daughter. Best gift! She programmed her electronics to it and enjoying it. Just the right size and has great sound and a great price for Deal of the Day! She loves all the features it offers as well!

I don't have any smart home devices nor do I have a music subscription service so basically I use this as a clock radio and bluetooth speaker and occasionally using it for internet information or news services. For those it works well. It really will hear you from across the room, seems to have no issue understanding me. The sound, at least to me, feels a little "muffled" at times, but still clear enough that I'm not dissatisfied overall. One slight irritation is that I've found no way to set the alarm manually, you must verbally instruct it to set an alarm - not good if your significant other is already asleep. For the most part I used this plugged in to an AC outlet. I have used it up to 3 hours on battery power with no problems.

Although definitely bigger and not as aesthetically pleasing as the Google Home, it sounds A LOT better and it has a built in battery. I would totally recommend getting this. Plus if you buy 2 they can be set up in stereo mode.

Such a nice addition to my "apple" collection. Does what it needs to do with a powerful punch in sound. Disconnects here and there but my wifi router may be the cause of that. Set up isn't too user-friendly but once it's done its fine.

Best Buy exclusive Bluetooth speaker. Was looking for something portable for work and this is perfect. Excellent sound quality for the price. Easy to connect.

Got this Insignia Smart Portable Bluetooth Speaker and Alarm Clock on sale not expecting too much but as it turns I can't live without it. Great sound quality paired with Google Assistant makes this a must have!

Good overall sound and the rechargable battery is a plus. It will display the local temperature on the small first when asked. I like the clock feature as well. I got it for $25 and consider that a steal.

I absolutely love this speaker and use it almost every day. This device got me into the Google Home experience and I love everything that I can do with it. It sounds great and the battery makes it an awesome party speaker!

I purchased a several of the small (non portable) speakers and 5 of these Portable ones. I have NOT been disappointed at all. These speakers are incredible. Battery life is about 5 hours. That's the only downfall. The Google assistant works wonderful. With the Google Assistant app you can link them together either as a stereo pair 1 for left and 1 for right, or use them as multiple stereo speakers even with delay between them so they can be in multiple rooms playing music throughout your entire home. And now you can even place calls with them. Or control your smart devices in your home. You won't be disappointed.
