I fully charged it, updated the filmware, started using it and it suddenly shut off and wont then back on.
Early adoption issues easily averted- Great Camera

I would give this camera 4.5 stars initially mostly due to some issues in getting the camera activated. I tried to connect the camera to the Insta360 app but it told me that I had to go to the Google Play store to download the latest app there first. I had already updated the app to the newest version before connecting so that was strange. When I followed the prompts it kept me going in circles to update the app and I would try that but the newest version in Google Play was not the correct one. Eventually I searched for Insta360 app in a Google search and instead downloaded the app directly from Insta360s website, which WAS the correct and newest version of the app. I was finally able to activate the camera once I used this version. I'm not sure why the newest version of the app was not available on the Google Play store, but I assume this is because Google has not certified it fully yet. Early adoption issues and I'm sure this will be cleared up soon. As far as the camera goes it seems very well built and my first impressions are very good. I was hoping that this would be a big step up from the One RS 1 Inch 360 edition for low lighting but I have not been able to test that yet. I found one video on YouTube where the reviewer said the 1 inch is still better here slightly but there are a lot of features on the X5 that make it a better camera. I especially like that this is waterproof and has swappable batteries over the 1 inch and a much superior screen. 8K will be awesome and the larger sensors will make it even better. It seems very tough and has replaceable lenses for the first time! I look forward to testing this camera more thoroughly, especially the AI features, but these are my first impressions.

Using X5 in low-light settings has been a pleasant surprise. It captures so much detail! The high-res images it
captures are just amazing. My friends are always wowed by them. Transferring large files can be slow sometimes,
but with quality like this, I'm happy to wait.

I'm really impressed with how user-friendly this camera is. The features are powerful and versatile!! The app could be a tad more intuitive however, but after spending some time with it, you get the hang of everything and can create stunning content!

Love it! It's amazing, many more appications than just sports. I'm a documenary filmmaker and have found fascinating uses for this system and i'm learning more.

I'm generally not a huge fan of Insta, but I must say the night mode is a significant enhancement. The X5 introduces HDR capabilities at 8K resolution, unlike the X4, and it truly makes a difference in challenging lighting situations
Plus, it's pretty stylish when you're out biking.
