    Bought the i5-4460 as a second choice to the i3-4160. Read good reviews of the i5. It won't overclock, but it does run on the hot side at 84 watts. Dropped the i5 into economy Asus B85M-Dplus mobo. So, I am going to take some precaution and restrict this chip if I can (till I can get the board I wanted?). Installed Linux Mint 17.2 on this rig. No problems at all. Fired right up. Speedy delivery. Had the unit within 4 days.

    Are margins so thin that Intel can't spring for a quality heat-sink and fan?Be gentle with it because its cheap.
