Best unlocked option for the LGA 1200 platform

Not worth the cost unless you are stuck on Intel's LGA 1200 platform. That being said, it is a beastly processor and very capable of handling just about any workload, and brings Gen 4 PCIe connectivity for your compatible NVMe SSD's and GPU's. This is the best option if you want an unlocked processor on the LGA 1200 platform. The i9 11th gen is also 8 core/16 threads, and costs a lot more. If you don't have a Z590 or other 500 series motherboard, make sure it supports this CPU. Not all 400 series boards support 11th Gen processors (even some expensive Z series boards - looking at you ASUS!). Check the motherboard manufacturer's CPU compatibility list first.
