    I was looking for increased speed, coming from an older amd processor and that's exactly what I got. Only thing is that the site doesn't say that this processor has limited overclocking. The 4790k does not. Wish I would of knew that. Otherwise works great

    No four core processor comes closes to this. It is consistently the top rated processor for up to 8 threads and just screams through video editing and coding.

    I did not plan to overclock my CPU, so I purchased 4790 instead of the K version. If you don't plan to oc your cpu, I recommend getting the non K version.

    The Intel I7 is a great processor. Works very, very well for game PC's as well as being able to run any business applications with speed and performance.

    I used this with a Gigabyte z97-ED5H-BK mobo. Once turbo boost was disabled in the BIOS, this CPU is working great (the issue was with the mobo, not the CPU) It does what it is supposed to, solid performance on all 4 cores.
