The storyline is also top notch and the ending doesn't disappoint. Matthew McConaughey's performance is tip top as well.

The movie to show off your TV

Basically reference 4K UHD

This is a go-to reference disc for the 4K UHD format - likely due to being a native 4K transfer. Detail is impeccable and the HDR color grading highlights the film's mix of bright and darker lit scenes. Also, the sound mix is completely enveloping.

Magnificent in HDR

If you approach it as an academic work of film, it truly is one of the masterpieces of the last two decades. If you're just looking for an action-packed space thriller, this isn't for you. The film has such deep blacks contrasted with bright whites and blues, that it looks absolutely stunning in 4K HDR.

Favorite Space movie
