Into the Arms of Merciful Strangers

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A documentary narrated by Judi Dench about the rescue by the British of over 10,000 German & Austrian children who happened to be Jewish. My students & I have viewed this film for over two decades in my Crimes Against Humanity classes. Heartbreaking, yet truly inspirational, it still resonates as powerfully today as when these black events first unfolded prior to & during the Holocaust. The film gives a human face to stories of unimaginable suffering & unexpected triumph.
