I've used Turbo Tax for many years and will probably continue to do so. However, it seems like each year I do end up having to look up the instructions on the IRS website concerning one topic or another to make sure that what I'm entering into Turbo Tax is correct. It seems like sometimes Turbo Tax over-simplifies certain situations. I would recommend it to a friend with the caveat that they should make sure they're comfortable with their understanding of their own tax situation.

I bought this version of TurboTax, assuming I would have to use it alongside downloaded IRS forms. My spouse works overseas and needed to file two unusual schedules. To our surprise, these were included in this version of TurboTax and it easily took us to those schedules. They made it easy to fill them out and we paid less money, by almost half, than we did the year before, when we did it ourselves (we'd missed a whole lot of deductible items when we just used the IRS forms). TurboTax was well worth the purchase!

I've been using Turbo tax for years to file my taxes. It is extremely easy to use. So long as you have all your essential documents in front of you filing your taxes (both federal and state) from beginning to end takes roughly 45 minutes to an hour. It's simple and easy to understand, though it gets almost TOO in-depth. If you've used Turbo Tax before it automatically imports your last year's file. It also offers a cheap option for e-filing. Overall I highly recommend it.

TurboTax Deluxe Federal & State Returns + Federal E-File 2014: Deductions & Homeowners - Mac|Windows is simple, yet powerful software. Users just follow and answers sequentially determined questions to quickly complete a tax return. References to past returns all also part of the software to help taxpayers compare this year's return to some of those in the past. TurboTax can help all taxpayers easily maneuver through what can sometimes be considered a daunting task - understanding difficult tax code.

The program is just as good and reliable as in the past. I have used it for at least a decade now with about two exceptions and it is great. However, I was a little annoyed this year that if you work from home like I do and wanted to take the home office deduction you had to purchase the Small Business version. I had to go into the forms and choose 'override' to enter data into the fields of the Schedule C that I needed, but it let me do it with minimal protest.

I've been a TurboTax user for around ten years now. It is always easy to use and does a great job of carrying over data from previous years returns. I noticed that a lot of people have hammered the product because there is a change in capabilities of different product sub-types. I'm not sure why this is because TurboTax has always done a great job of publishing a table on the outside of the box that lists product features and capabilities so the buyer can purchase the correct product for their needs.

I've used Turbo Tax for at least a decade. Only gave it 4 stars because it's still taxes, and there is nothing great about this annual chore. But at least Turbo Tax makes it easier to tackle without breaking the bank paying someone else to do them. I have taken on the task of doing the taxes of some of my family and friends because it sickens me to see anyone pay close to $100 dollars to have the so called professionals fill out an 1040ez. That's criminal!

I have used TurboTax Deluxe for many years now and it is still a very good value Tax Software for the average Individual/Homeowner who itemizes deductions! I have no need for any Business or Investment Tax Deductions, so the previous changes to TurboTax Deluxe Software does not affect me. TurboTax is a Very easy to use product with consistent and accurate results. I recommend this product to anyone who is tired of paying a Tax Preparation Service Fee for something you can do yourself!

TurboTax Deluxe is an excellent program, but it is a little pricey. If your doing your own taxes it get the job done.

Let's face it, TurboTax still rules but its dominance is fading. Like countless others, in years past I was perfectly happy with TT and often could get a good deal. Now? Not so much. Everything works seamlessly as one expects, but they have trimmed the package down too far so if you need anything more than the very basic homeowner requirements they are far too eager and pushy to sell you an extra charge service. That said, a major shortcoming I still find is the awkwardness of testing common filing scenarios. If you start out for example, filing "married, joint" and then choose "married, separate", and also wish to test against the standard deduction, one must first manually re-enter all your charitable contributions line-by-line. There really should be a way to simply transfer all that data without having to first store it on their cloud. Additionally, going back to your 'Personal Information' and changing your filing status does not automatically update all your forms so one must start fresh to be sure. There is no "Save As" either. Next year I will once again decide if I will continue to accept Inuit's ever increasing price and strategically shrinking value. I will still "recommend this to a friend", but too bad there is not a "Maybe" button.

Easy to install, navigates fairly well, calculates your refund/tax due as you go along, but pricey.

It is a good help to complete and process the taxes yourself. Following step by step you can find almost all your possible deductions. The first year can be a little difficult until you become familiar with the program. Basic changes were included in the 2014 Deluxe version without advise to the customers, free upgrade was provided as a solution but the damage and confusion was significant. The fifth star was lost for that reason.

Turbo Tax is very easy to use. It is easy to navigate and access forms if you know how to prepare a tax return. However, charging $19.99 to tax filers who have to file a state return is a turn off, turbo tax discriminates against users who have to file state returns. A fair and equitable solution would be to charge every user to file a Federal Return.

Turbo Tax has proven to be a great product and a reliable one. User friendly and has online assistance if needed.

We first bought the H&R Block tax program because of the changes that were made this year in TurboTax. We had used TurboTax for years and had been happy. After using the H&R Block program, we decided to buy the TurboTax program with the free downloads of the schedules that had originally been eliminated to see how the two programs compared. The tax results were similar, so since we are more familiar with TurboTax, we will probably buy it again next year.
