A good way to preserve outdated media digitally.

I like the way I can use this product in multiple ways. Slides can be transferred one at a time or several at a time. This is very important to me because I am not able to obtain the equipment to look at my slides any more. It can be used for other outdated media and upgraded to the most modern digital media available.

The ION slide converter was an easy tool to work with. It is able to copy both negatives and slides very easily. They transfer directly from the slide or negative straight to an SD card that can be used to transfer to your computer. I like how simple it is and how easy it is to learn to use.

Does a good job scanning old slides. Some come out better than others but that's not the fault of the scanner.

I have been able to look through boxes and boxes of negatives and slides, pulled up some that I don't ever remember seeing . . . my only problem is trying to figure out how to clean the screen from the inside, it appears to have dust . . . otherwise, it worked great!

Had an ancient scanner before this which Windows would not recognize the drivers for and it was a pain. Got this one and all I needed to do was plug-play-save. How simple is that!

It does what it says. It scans slides and negatives. It does have a few gotchas.
For negatives, 35mm film, works pretty well.
For slides on the other hand, it does work when you can get it to feed. No matter how you adjust it for the slide thickness, you will get it to jam, doublefeed, not line up, etc. They should have skipped the "feeder" mess and just went with something similar to the tray for negatives.
Scanning itself was fairly quick. If you have a box of old, scratched negatives, well, you'll get scanned scratched images. If you treated your negatives well, you'll get better results.
The adjustments on the scanner are very basic, better to correct with a software tool.
It works mostly as described. It's not a $1000 scanner but it is very functional.

Had thousands of 35 mm transparencies of a life of traves that needed to be converted to digital for ease of archive and for ise and fullfillment of other family members. This helped to digitalize and store them in an external drive of a mac.
Had a couple of difficulties with the software at start up but the company responded my emails and guided me through. A great buy. The product was recommended in the store by an associate. Works both for mac and pc.

I bought this to update and replace an older version. It does a nice job with enough adjustments to provide a more than adequate digital copy. Would have liked a larger screen.

I liked that it does both slides and Negatives. Workks very well. Had trouble capturing larger surfaced slides, but by removing the push tray, I could do them manually

I have used the scanner primarily for slides, and have processed well over 500 so far without issue. The controls are relatively intuitive. The only complaint I have is that the bulk slide feeder is a bit small. Most of the slides I have are a tight fit, and I have to continually push the stack down for the next slide to feed properly. If it wasn't for this I would have rated the product 5 stars. The SD card storage is very handy and allows for quick and easy transfers to my PC. Overall I'm very satisfied and would recommend the scanner to anyone that has a large number of slides to digitize.

I enjoy being able to use the minimum effort to get my father's slide collection into digital form. This unit is lightweight but powerful. The file size is fine.

Don't have slides so bought it for the negative scanning function and on 126 and 35mm negatives it does as expected but the slide holder does not really accommodate 110 film and will have to rig something to get it to work with the holder.

I like the functionality. The auto slide feed tray is a light weight plastic. I accidently dropped it and it broke and I had to order a replacement. I would suggest try to avoid dropping it and use it over a carpeted area in the event you drop it, hopefully you will spare yourself having to order replacement part.

I only used it for doing 35mm slides. The transfer to a program is very easy. It has features that I have not had to use yet.
