The build quality is nice. Has a gratifying weight to it. Doesn't feel cheap. The sound quality is great. I use it for cassettes mostly. But the Bluetooth also sounds good as well. The added equalizer is a nice touch. All eq settings in the middle, does sound a bit on the treble side. But again, cassettes are not known for their sound quality. Reaches good volumes as well. My one gripe is the switches seem a bit flimsy. Be sure to take care when using them. Love the retro styling! Overall I’m very pleased!

This thing is almost exactly like my boom box from when I was a kid. Bluetooth is great, the occasional interference if you are around a lot of other devices but, I hardly notice it unless I’m actively listening for it. Feels good in the hand and looks better than any of the other Bluetooth portable speakers. Battery has lasted, with the volume cranked to “11” for about 6-8 hours? It comes with an AC cord and you can use actual batteries if you want it to go longer.

I was totally shocked when we got to play with this. Not only did it bring back great memories (and my old cassette collection back to life) but it sounds way better than any boom box I ever owned as a teen. This is seriously a great product! Buy it just for the sound quality, 10 hour charge life and better looking than a lot of plain bluetooth speakers. Even the radio comes in crystal clear. BEST Christmas present

I bought this as a gift for my father in law when his classic radio stopped working. It was basically a 1 for 1 swap as far as aesthetics go, but this radio packs some features! You can connect your phone via bluetooth and use it that way, scan AM/FM stations or even play a tape if you have a few sitting around. He loves it even a year after it was purchased.

Overall, this is a good boombox. It's got the authentic retro vibe and it has numerous features, including tape, am/fm, and even bluetooth. The speakers don't produce crisp sound quality but I wasn't expecting them to. Mainly, it's a way to listen to tapes and it serves that purpose well while looking cool.

Im a young person so this is my first experiance with a boombox. But man did/do I have a blast with this thing! The sound quality sounds great to me and it’s very easy to use. I use it mainly to play cassettes and Bluetooth. Got it on sale as well so that was a major plus. I dont think id pay $140+ for this though. I’d definitely grab it if it was on sale.

Love this thing. Great product! No complaints. This is the best thing since the original boombox. Plays actual cassette tapes, BT compatible, am/fm, runs on batteries or ac adapter. Bought this for my husband for HIS birthday but really more for me :) I couldn’t wait for him to open it. Did I mention, I love this thing!!

This is an awesome boombox good sound it's great for cookouts or small parties indoors now I can play all my cassettes plus it has a USB port for music downloaded on USB stick it has AM FM radio and you can record radio to cassette or USB stick to cassette awesome

Really cool looking speaker. Functionally it works great. I have used the Bluetooth, and tape player and both work well. Sound is good but not amazing. It takes 6 D batteries which is kinda retro cool but also would like an internal rechargeable battery.

This radio is a great product! You can use it indoor or outdoors. Lightweight with option of plug in or batteries. Use Bluetooth or just listen to FM/AM radio. Speakers have excellent quality. A Modern boom box with a vintage look! I would recommend this product to any music lover!

FANTASTIC! It's really old-school looking and it sounds amazing! Got it for my 14 year old's birthday and he LOVED it! It got so much attention from young and adults at this birthday party. Got it playing as soon as he got it out of the box. Works amazing with bluetooth and tapes! PERFECT BOOMBOX!!!!

Fun toy. Good sound, plays tapes and switches between usb very easily. Good battery life and feels very realistic. The only thing I was slightly disapointed with was that it does not have a random button for playing music off the USB. Just a minor thing though.

I was really surprised with how loud it can get. It connects to bluetooth with no issues. Battery life is pretty good as well. It used both regular batteries and you can wall charge it as well.

I've had this boombox now for over two months, and am still surprised at how happy it makes me. I retired almost a year ago, and it brings back memories of my college days during which a box like this was my sole means of entertainment. I have a large collection of cassette tapes that I wished to digitize before they crumbled to dust, and this has made that task easily doable. But in the process of doing this I discovered that these old tapes sounded incredibly good! I was also surprised at how well preserved these old tapes (many over 40 years old) were. This box has a good stereo cassette player, and also a good radio. The fact that it also incorporates so much useful new technology greatly enhances the pleasure it provides. I strongly recommend this boombox for your purchase - the value it provides far exceeds it's price.

First of all let me say I am well aware Ion is not a Bose or Sony or any other top end brand so I bought this boombox with a let's see attitude...The design is nice..I would have preferred a digital readout but no big deal..It is sturdy and well made and I was suprised the cassette deck is pretty nice and handles high bias and metal tape..Internal battery is nice or you can use regular disposable cells.. The one big drawback is when you record straight to a thumb drive the play back skips badly..I'm talking every 5 seconds or so..yikes.... The recordings are done 128 kps so that is acceptable but the skipping is not cool...FM reception is good..AM is acceptable..I like the separate tone and bass controls as well..Overall I like this boombox and I'm keeping it..You're almost getting what you pay for...

I love it... it is exactly what I was looking for... an 80's boombox, but this one comes with great new features... lithium ion battery, USB and bluetooth player... The sound is nice and for $70, it is a great deal.

This boom box is a conversation piece. Has all the modern aspects (Bluetooth, rechargeable ) and also a cassette player... i had to buy some cassettes off eBay. Works great. Looks great...decent sound quality and volume.

So far works great- easy to use-Bluetooth works great- a little heavy, but that’s fine- take it outside and in the car-hooked Amazon up to it and works great-battery works like the company said-have not tried the recording from radio station yet-

I love this retro radio with all of today's top technology. In my opinion it plays just like the radio I owned in the late 80's. It's not super loud but loud enough to listen to it at a park, beach, or in the back yard. I've used my radio for 6 straight hours with no problems. I currently have over 2000 songs on my memory card so I have enough music to last me for weeks. This radio does more than any basic Bluetooth speaker because it plays music via Bluetooth, radio, cassette, any mp3 player, and memory card. There's just something special about listening to music playing from this radio.

I really love this boombox. It reminds me the one I had when I was a kid... Lol sounds great very loud when you need it. The sound is clear and my phone connects from far away. Cassette plays and records great. Also the capability of using the USB flash drive to play your music is great and also the micro card. The small downside is that you cannot choose the songs you want to play from the SD card or USB device It just plays everything keep that in mind when you use this option. but still who cares they worked great with my Bluetooth phone or any phone in this case. Also has the ability to connect headphones and an external device with an appropriate cable.
