This ION portable speaker is nice for the price. It already came mostly charged so I only plugged it in for 30 minutes before it was fully charged. I got this portable speaker because I have a pool and I always have to keep other speakers a good distance from the pool in case it gets water on them. With this ION speaker I was never concerned if it ever got wet. Besides it being waterproof, I really liked how easy it was to connect with my phone. The music quality was pretty good, but not great. The only reason why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was the radio. The reception is not the best, but we mainly listen to music on our phones, so not having the best radio reception isn't a deal breaker for us. It is very easy to carry around and so far we have used it for two days and we still have 3 bars on the charge. Overall, if you are looking for an inexpensive portable speaker, I would recommend this ION speaker.

It claims to give you 30 hours and out of 3 charges I've only gotten maybe about 12 hours total. The first charge I got more hours than I have on the other two. I wouldn't waste my time or money on this product. I have another ion product and I've never had a problem with it and I've owned it for over 4 years now. This speaker is not of the same quality. The AM/FM radio statics real bad and doesn't want to pick up stations. Buy at your own risk. Good luck

Very disappointed with this purchase. I was looking to use this in the garage to amp out for workouts but unfortunately it does not suffice- not even a little bit. The bluetooth speaker I purchased (HeyDay) from Target has 100% more bass than this speaker. I was expecting a "Tailgate Portable" speaker to have much more power than the little Bluetooth speaker from Target. Also, the 4 year olds toy karaoke machine sounds better than this!

sounds not to bad but . battery died on me after a month of use never let battery die charged every night . would not buy again

After removing from packaging, first off I was very impressed with the ruggedness of this portable speaker. All the connections were hidden beneath waterproof and dustproof closures. The rubberized closures were well-made and should stand up to long use! Using the AM/FM radio was easy to use and provided clear sound without the use of an external antenna. It was easy to scan the stations and select those that I wanted to keep for easy reaccess in the future. I liked the feature that I could plug in my phone to recharge it using the ION Audio - Sport Go speaker system. The USB connector was easy to access since on the front of the system. It was easy to connect my phone to the ION Sport Go using Bluetooth, and play music stored on my phone. The sound was OUTSTANDING and POWERFUL regardless which method I used to play music ... either from my phone or the built-in AM/FM radio. The ION Sport Go also includes a connector for a microphone, if you're inclinded to do Karoke, which I'm not. This is a fabulous portable speaker system and I look forward to many years of use.

Good product not water proof as advertised charging cord went out

We love this speaker! We use it for all our backyard parties! It has great bass, diverse volume and I love that we don’t have to worry about it getting something spilled on it. It’s so durable! You need this

I wanted to use this radio for the beach and volume isn't as loud as I'd like it. Also, the am/fm reception is awful. So really you can only use the bluetooth... Plus, there is no way it allots for 50 hours of playing time. All in all, I was very disappointed.

Nowhere near the loudness I expected by the description. The sound doesn’t amplify throughout a room, you have to be like directly in front of it. Also when the volume js all the way up the bass is crunchy

You have to listen to it at a low volume because if you turn it up it sounds awful. Very unhappy and even more unhappy that I wasn't able to return it!

It broke very quickly it won’t stay on when trying to play music I paid too much money for something I only used for a month

Worse speaker I've ever purchased. Two after having it. It doesn't hold charge, shows full battery when plugged then dies after 5 mins when unplugged.

This speaker is very disappointing. Once you turn it all the way up or at least half way. The speaker sounds like garbage. Do not buy but if you do return it and see I ain’t lying.

Very disappointed with this speaker I couldn't put the volume past halfway the distortion was really bad it sounded horrible I boxed it back up and returned.

Awesome portable speaker for tailgating, camping and backyard events. My Impression: It has a 8 inch speaker with 100w amp that provides a robust sound that I would utilize for small social events. The sounds sound cranks up pretty well and could be heard from a distance of about 50 ft. I do not recommend turning it any higher than 3/4 as it beings to distort and crackle. The speaker weighs about 20lbs and has a rugged exterior with covered ports to prevent inclement weather damage. Out of the box it comes with a USB 2.0 port to connect streaming devices and allows you to charge things such as your phone. It has Bluetooth capability for streaming from your phone. It also includes a 3.5 mm aux input for non-Bluetooth sources and microphone connecting if intended to use as a PA system. From my testing so far, ive been able to pull about 48 hours of battery before having to recharge. My only overall complaint would be the speaker sound. To my ears it's a little tinny, but of course sound is subjective to one's personal taste. Overall I would recommend the ION Audio to anyone looking for a portable, weather resistant speaker that could be utilized as an all in one solution for your outdoor needs.

I’d like to get my money back it’s not what I expected. However bestbuy doesn’t let me return due to past the return date.

The sound was so horrible. When we got home we turned it on. Was so low and was on the highest we took it right back.

Worked for only a day or two, charger doesn’t really charge. Better off getting something else.
