Exactly what I needed. I went on a long road trip, and needed to use my phone as a GPS, and to have hands-free use. This was perfect. Easy to use, and held phone in place very well.

It’s very simple to use(Literally just stick it into your CD slot and make sure it’s secured) and is of good quality. There’s no issue with it breaking like a vent mount.

Terrific phone holder. It fits snuggly in my CD player. Phone has never fallen out. I don’t have to look down to use. Very happy with this choice.

This cell phone holder has proven to be one of my best investments. It holds the phone securely and without jiggling all over the place. It can be a little difficult to seat it into the CD slot on the dash but after a couple of times, you get the hang of it. It’s also nice that after you have snapped your phone into the holder you can rotate it from landscape to portrait and back again without removing the phone. The only drawback is that you can’t play CD’s while it’s installed and it tends to hide some of the dashboard controls. I’ve had mine for over a year and bought this one for my son.

I like the iOttie phone holder for a few reasons: first it moves the phone out of the direct path of the sun, associated with a dash mount. I was looking for a way to keep the phone out of direct sunlight and to prevent it from shutting off due to overheating. Second I am no longer reaching up over / near the steering wheel to adjust and/or look for addresses. Lastly, my hand has to travel only a few inches from the gear shift (where my hand is normally when driving) to interact with the phone, when needed. I like that the phone is locked into place when you push it in the holder, no need for trying hold it open or wiggle the phone in place. The mount supports both horizontal and vertical viewing, as well as, tilting for the perfect viewing angel. The quick release lever for the mount makes it easy to use in more than one vehicle. This holder is great. Easy to install, and the button activation holds your phone securely. My husband got this for his Audi and loves it. I wanted to get one for my car, but my car’s shifter sits too far forward to have clearance in Park and have this holder. Definitely would recommend checking your vehicle to ensure enough clearance, but it’s not a design flaw of the holder. So still an absolute 5 stars (especially from my husband)

I’ve tried many many iPhone mounts of various sorts through the years and this one by far is my favorite. Sits at a perfect level in the cd slot and I love the fact that I don’t have to add any magnets to my phone and case. It pops in so easily and stays solidly in place the whole time. And it couldn’t be easier to use. The only problem is that a lot of the new cars these days do not have a CD player and in that instance you can’t use it. Other than that great!

After trying several different vent mounts and stuck up mounts and magnetic mounts, this actually works. I used this in my 4 runner and bo problems. I used it in my Sonata and no problems. Doesn't seem like it would be sturdy, but it is. Around corners or tough terrain it stays put. The only minor inconvenience is it sits directly over my backup camera screen. Its east to move a little bit while backing up and then putting it back... no problem. All in all I will probably buy another for my other car. It works!

This worked great for my truck. Installed easily yet was very secure. Also easy to take phone in and out of. My hands free driving easy

Great Phone Holder....Fits Perfect In CD Player...Does Not Move What So Ever....Grips Phone Very Well Even With OtterBox Case On It.....

I have had many phone holders for the car and this is by far the best and most sturdy one. has already lasted a year and in perfect conditions. and believe me gets constant use with me. I get in and out of my car a lot because of work. I love that I can switch it from vertical to horizontal by just turning it. I spend a lot of time in my car for work and this is a godsend. the only drawback is I can't use my cd player with it.

Have a Dodge Grand Caravan and a hard time getting a phone holder I liked - this fits in the CD player that I don't use - works great! You do have to be careful to click the phone in all the way or it will jiggle out. Also it does block my clock/radio station view but you can swivel the holder so that it will not block the entire view. But overall love the design! I tried several types before finding this one - definitely recommend!

This is one of the better phone mounts you can get for your car. I did a little research for various phone mounts that are available in the market and decided to go for the CD mounted type. I was immediately uninterested with the magnetic mounts because you have to add an accessory to your phone or phone case to make the mount work properly, pass. My experience with air vent mounts in the past have been more than unsatisfying and I wasn't going to subject myself to similar experiences. I was ultimately torn between a windshield phone mount or a CD mount and after careful consideration I decided to go for this particular brand/style. iOttie makes aforementioned type mounts and after checking reviews this one seemed to fit the bill for what I was looking for. One thing that I did notice is that my car has a wider CD slot opening which doesn't allow for the most 'snug' fit. This means that I do get a little bit more wiggle if the car goes over a particularly bumpy road. Other than that it holds my Iphone XR with a case (which I weighed at 9.45oz) fairly well. With such a heavy phone you definitely need to tighten the rear screw cap to ensure that the weight of the phone doesn't bring the mount to face downward. Overall I'm satisfied with this product and will likely use it until something better comes along. It's simple and does the job.

iOttie was easy to install, and is working perfectly. In researching cell phone holders it was apparent that most were not compatible with Iphones because audio jack was blocked, NOT so with iOttie. Placement in CD holder is safer since it keeps your line of sight on the road. Also doesn't block my Garmin or air vents, or eliminate a cup holder. Additionally, Best Buy website worked well in directing me to a local store that had product in stock.

I bought this with great expectations that this would be the one that would work for me. Unfortunately it was not. It worked exactly like it said it was going to. The problem is when I had my phone in the holder I could not see or use my car screen. This was a problem for me. I needed to use the extra piece that made the mount tighter in the CD slot. But it was perfect after that. If you don't have a screen then it works great.

I was looking for a phone mount that wasn't on the dash, window, or in front of the vents. The dash and window mounts tend to fall off depending on the weather. I also wanted a mount that had an easier hold & release of the phone. This mount has met all my expectations in a short period of time. It stays put in the CD player, swivels according to my needs, and it's so much easier to mount and dismount my phone.

This holder has solved my problem of how to mount my phone in my Mazda 5, which has no other good alternative for attaching a holder. It's sturdy, solid and doesn't wiggle around and attaching and removing my phone is quick and easy. I don't use my CD player so it's not an issue for me, but someone using the player may want to find another holder if they don't want to remove the holder to load CDs.
