I'll start with the holder itself first. The overall design is very sturdy and easy to use, You can easily open it with one hand, and to close it you just press your phone into it and it snaps shut. The real problem is the mount. If your vehicle has a CD player, it is HIGHLY recommended that you put the mount in your CD drive and turn on your radio. Some systems get very temperamental when this is inserted in the CD slot as it thinks you're trying to load a disc into the radio and the radio will refuse to go to any other audio source.

I love it, second one I have purchased. Works perfectly in the CD slot on my car. I have a 12 max with a case and its able to hold my phone in-place. The cord can hang down from the bottom to be plugged into a charger. They give you a little black plastic piece don't use it unless you need to. I accidentally stuck it in the tensioner without needing and it was a PIA to get it out. It looks like a little wedge piece. you should be fine without it. I also like how you push it into place and it closes automatically on your device to hold it.

it's a great product if you have a CD player in your car that you don't use (or use). We have iPhones from 13 through 16Max and everyone can use this easy.

I just inherited my brother Ford 150 2009 truck and need someway to use my iPhone GPS Maps to get around. My brother had a holder with suction cup to stick to dash but in truck get more numbs & shaking that keep falling. I bought this and is very strong @ really holds the phone Evan when hit big pot whole the phone stay right in please. Also is very easy to put into and take out of cattail/holder. It really work great. Only drawback is it goes into were you play your CDs but can take it out put the CD in to play & then put holder back in the slot.

Not too bad! Not perfect, but overall pretty good and does what it needs to. I thought it'd be very shaky but keeps still MOST of the time not enough to be an issue. Don't know if it's depending on how the CD slot is but with mine it does shake a bit and felt lose but once I put the phone in it's pretty stable and does the job!

This is a must have for anyone wanting a phone holder to mount in cd player. Phone does not move at all, very well built, and of the highest quality! Highly recommended

Was very simple to install and it holds the phone securely. I didn’t need to use the small spacer to tighten up the grip on the CD slot, the base was secure without it. The small magnetic tag you can put on the phone cable just barely works, but that’s not a deal breaker.

Bought one for Buick Regal - worked great. Bought 2nd one for Ford Escape. The 2nd one required me to fiddle finding a sweet spot where the engagement dog would secure the holder without moving. All great now.

Awesome. I bough this for a road trip to San Diego since my car does not have GPS. Worked great to hold my phone to provide directions from Google maps. Will be making a second trip and very happy I have it.

I was nervous because of the reviews saying it does not stay in place, but they must not have seen that you have to tighten the ball-thing once you have chosen the angle you wish to have your phone at. It is so rigid and sturdy, my phone does not move while I am in the car - I have zero worries about my phone falling out of the holder, or the holder rotating randomly! Just follow the instructions, and tighten everything to hand-tightness, and you'll be fine!

older vehicles (2011 and prior) don't seem to have any sort of pocket or ledge to place your phone while driving. i have a 2011 camry and a 2003 civic. neither have any options for my iphone 14. I tried cheap windsheild mounts on amazon, they didn't work or didn't stay put. I found this through a google search and best buy in another town had this. fits in the CD slot perfectly! allows you to place the phone in landscape mode or portrait mode. in the civic, it seems that no matter how much i tilt or move the mount it still blocks the clock display of my factory radio, but that's just a minor quirk. I love the mount and it fits very securely in the cd slots of both vehicles, I haven't used the cd player in either vehicle in many years, so this works for me. great idea that was very well done. very impressed for the price paid.

I wanted a cellphone holder i can "MacGyver" for my car. This one worked. I was able to use part of an old rubber car floor mat to anchor my cellphone using this holder. The suction type would not hold when the car got hot.

I have an Honda Accord and the radio set up and AUX port are placed far apart. The dash board is far from driver seat so a suction cup phone holder makes the phone too far to reach while driving. This CD player phone holder is the best option for my vehicle due to closeness to driver seat and AUX port. It’s sturdy and holds my phone well. Very easy to eject and place in holder to for quick set up when in a rush some where. Great product!

I've been looking for a phone holder that doesn't stick (alter) my dash, mount to the window or air vent to break the flaps. This is perfect. It holds solidly in the CD player slot of my 2019 Camry. The squeeze to open and press and snap features make getting your phone mounted or released easy. It also has a magnetic tab to keep the cable hung behind the holder and out of the way when not in use.

I love the durability of this item. I have had it for years and years! Very useful indeed.

After buying four other holders for my car, this one does the trick. When you set the iPhone in the holder, it encloses on its sides securely and your ready to go . No problem. All the other holders you had to fiddle around and work hard in getting the iPhone to be secure. And then when you leave, you have to repeat the same problem in fiddling around get it out. Not this one, squeeze the two side buttons and the iPhone comes out with ease and the holder is ready to receive your iPhone for the next trip. LOVE IT.
