I was surprised when I opened the box to see such a small mount however once I installed it and drove down a heavy potholed road, I realized how sturdy and secured I felt that the mount would not drop my cell. Fit: I have another mount that does not hold my Samsung S6 with a Mophie Battery case very well, it holds my iPhone 6 with an Otterbox defender case well. This new mount holds both securely, I was pleasantly surprised by this. Mount: This little mount has a really strong spring that clamps onto your air vents really well, there is no movement unless you release some of the tension from the spring. Movement/Angle: What I really like about this mount is the 360 degree movement that it allows for the user, I have it angled right at me. It is the best fitment so far that I have found. Clamps: The soft grips came with thicker pads however I just used the ones that came on the clamps, they work just fine but it's good to know that iOttie thought in advance just in-case someone needed them. All in all I would definitely recommend this mount, I will get another one for my wife's car.

The mount has a strong grip of the phone and of the vent, but it's still rather inconveniet to mount and dismount the phone while driving. The mounts with the magnetic strip are much more convenient for that purpose. Otherwise, if you are only going to mount and dismount your phone while parked, it's a great and sturdy phone mount

I have tried numerous air vent phone holders in the past and they all fail miserably. Since I've previously used and loved iOttie products I decided to try this one. I am completely satisfied with this air vent phone holder! It is without a doubt the best one I've ever tried. It holds tight and it accommodates my iPhone 7plus with a case! All others fall and don't hold well. This one is designed so well it holds and doesn't move. My hats off to iOttie. GREAT PRODUCT!!!

Holds phone pretty securely and docking and undocking the phone is easy. My only complaint is that it’s not as tight on the vent. After some time I need to push the clamp back into the vent so the phone sits more upright.

I was looking for a mount for a certain height to mount in a certain position that wasn’t to bulky and didn’t require to much from the user and I found exactly what I was looking for with iOttie. It holds my iPhone 7 Plus in the perfect position, it doesn’t move, it doesn’t cover up any of the controls on the side of the phone and it wasn’t too expensive, especially with my Best Buy reward certificate. A win win for me.

Upon opening the box it seems like its complicated but its simple just where you want to place the mount, the clip is super strong which means its super sturdy and not going anywhere, which was my greatest concern with this style of mount! However it can be a bit hard to get on so place it wisely! Once that portion is clipped on the vent then get the part that clips the phone in, loosen the back of the cell phone clip portion and pop it on! Just be mindful of which way to tighten it securely to the vent clip and then you are set! It has a 1 year warranty which is awesome and on top of that replacement pads for the sides that cushion the cell phone! I love how simple and compact it is, and my phone is mounted in a much safer spot in regards to visibility and access in general! My only dislike is how much packaging there is for its size, which initially made me think it was more complex to put together than it actually is.

I enjoy it, and have used it multiple times daily since I purchased it. It is extremely easy to pop your phone in, as well as release it from the grip. The only down-side is that the weight of the phone (iPhone 8 Plus) causes the clip on the vent to slowly move forward over the course of the day. Each morning I have to readjust the clip on the vent by loosening the grip and pushing it back further into the vent.

Very sturdy and rigid design. It maybe a little too tight. Fit my car perfectly.

Fits my Galaxy S4 with Otterbox fine. Bought this one because the clamp that fits on the vent is spring loaded, instead of just a flexible plastic clamp, which wouldn’t fit over the wide horizontal vent piece in my Prius. Works fine and only gave it 4 out of 5 stars, because not in use long enough to know how durable it will be. But so far very good.

I couldn’t find a “nice” place to set down my phone in our Honda Accord. My wife found this clip. I was Sceptical at first and thought “kinda pricey”. But my wife said “if you don’t like it, bring it back!” I Tried it out in several spots. Found a favorite and now use it all the time. Hmmm. Time for another one - for my wifes phone. LOL.

Easy to mount/dismount the phone, non obtrusive design

This is the best cellphone holder I have found. Easy to use. Not very big. Durable.

I liked it, but returned it because the location of my a/c vent put my phone behind the steering wheel. It grips the vent levers, horizontal or vertical, firmly, and it is easy to clamp a phone into the holder, and equally easy to release it.

I finally don't have my phone flinging across my car anymore! With Android Auto and a 3.5mm it's also made me debate whether I really need to upgrade my deck. Overall, this is the best thing I've purchased for my vehicle in a long time.

Holds well in the air vent and very easy to install. The retraction system occasionally gets stuck and have to push the button to reset. The clamping pressure could be a little stronger but all in all a decent holder.

Not too bulky, easily attach to vent. Easy to adjust to width of phone with ball rotation.

Adjustable to fit verifies phones models. Holds in place much better than my previous one

Overall like the way this mount functions with the quick release and only real possible to mount anything to the car is the air vent. Maybe having a bottom brace would put it to 5 stars.
