I like the light design and the magnetic attachment. Works good on my Samsung S8 with a case. My wife's Apple 9 is a little heavier so I had to attach the metal plate on the outside of the case to keep it from slipping. Would like the cost to be less.

This is a great product for the price. I will say that my phone case wasn't optimal for the internal mount because of a rubber strip in the phone case. I attached the internal magnet to the outside of the case and it works very well. the magnet is so strong that most of the time it pulls off the clip as well. But it is very simple to reattach so not a big deal.

The product itself is easy to setup and extremely sturdy. Something I wish I had thought about before is the fact that when you install the vent clip, two things happen. 1) The phone is directly blocking the heat or AC from the vent and can cause it to overheat in some cases. 2) You are limited in the places you can install this.

This item is fantastic! It’s super simple to set up and takes literally seconds. It holds my iPhone 6s Plus very securely in place and I’ve never had it fall or even move when I hit a bump or something. I highly recommend this awesome little gadget!

This is an affordable way to mount a phone in your car. While it does meet my expectations, the clip strength is less than desirable for me. While many factors go into the effectiveness of the clip (a thicker vent vane on my car could help); the magnet is plenty powerful to hold my S6. If I had to do it over again, I would go with the dash mount or windshield suction cup.

Fits good. Just be care which case you use and the plate position if you wirelessly charge your phone.

I didn't want to drill holes in the dashboard so that the iPhone was readily available when I'm driving. It fit fine in the heating vent and the magnet hold even on rough roads but comes off easily when I leave the car. It's not perfect but does the job very adequately.

I bought one for me and one for my husband. We always had trouble figuring out how to position our phones in the car but this makes it so easy especially when going on long trips. Great for looking at directions. Also nice not having to dig through my purse to find my phone.

This holder is small and doesn’t take up a lot of room and doesn’t require suction to keep it in place. The magnet is strong and makes for easy to use.

Works well in the car. I do not have to keep phone on my lap or side in precarious position.

Love the magnetic holder for my phone. It makes it easy to see incoming calls and the directions for my GPS. It is a great stand for the phone when it is not attached to the car vent.,the magnet is very strong and the phone stays put even during a bumpy ride

Great phone holder. Easy to use. Phone stays in place under most driving situations.

Handy little gadet..better than sticking a huge thing on your windscreen..however the magnet wouldn't work when placed inside the case. It may work with some cheaper thinner cases but not the rugged one I have for my Note 8.. it also was hard to stick on the outside of the case as the plastic has ridges and is not flat.. biggest drawback is phone will not charge on wireless charger pad with the magnet on the case.. I have to take case off to wirelessly charge.. my phone is also a bit too heavy to stay at the angle I want when stuck on the holder.. good idea but lacks in implementation.. alas can't return it since magnets are now stuck to my phone case..lighter phones and cases may work a treat if you plug in to charge

I looked at other items similar to this one. Other items use different means to keep the phone upright and in front of you while driving. I found this method to be the best. This product is priced higher than similar items. However, the magnet is very strong and it will hold the phone in place firmly while driving over anything. The clip works easy with a vent in your car. The entire piece tilts up and down to help you find the best position for the phone so that the dashboard of the car doesn't get in the way of allowing the magnet to hold the phone.

The clamp holds tight in any AC vent, providing many choices for locating the phone in your car. Including 2 different styles of metal mounting plates to allow the phone to be held securely with the magnet is quite nice. I was able to use one on each of 2 different phones, without needing to purchase anything extra. Only caution is that the thickness of the flip cover on a Samsung Note 5 makes the phone less secure. Removing the phone from the case solves that; and keeps the flip cover out if the way when using the phone to view traffic / directions.

This is the best phone holder out there, don’t settle for the others. Works with a heavy duty otter box, it comes with extra magnets to put on the outside of phone case but we put these inside and it’s wonderful! Holds with any bumps!

The iTap works great and I have two of them. The magnet is quite strong so all you need to do is place the phone against it and it attaches. Very simple to use. However, if you use wireless charging of your iPhone the metal disk you place on the back of the phone interferes with charging. If you attempt to move the disk out of the center on a larger phone it becomes too heavy and the magnet isn’t strong enough. While this is a great product I could no longer use it when I upgraded to a new iPhone.

Observing my families behaviors in their vehicles made me search for a simple solutiin to phones in laps, cup holders, balanced on dash for navigation. I have always used mounts for gps and phone to avoid losibg eye contact with the road, but I travel 75% in my profession and observed my familiy not doing the same which is a safety concern. Seconds count and can take away lives - this simple magnetic mount is clean, powerful, adjustable, and the mount can act as a stand for phone in a table, ottoman, etc. when not in a vehicle. Small price to pay to change my families behavior and improve their safety on the road.

The Ottie is the best phone holder I've ever had. It clips right onto the air vent fins and has a nice tight grip to there's no slipping off. The magnet is extra strong so it really holds your phone up The only issue I've had, and it's probably on me, is that if you don't hold . the phone up so the area of the magnet on the phone matches well with the Ottie, the phone tends to come off during driving.. Otherwise I've had no other issues and am pleased with the quality of this product. it was recommended to my by Uber driver.
