Easy to secure to the vent. I did need to play around with finding the best position for a secure fit to the vent. Do a dry fit before you attach the metal plate to your phone to make sure it won't block any dashboard displays and so the phone is in a fully visible position. I'd suggest making sure the metal plate on the phone is center or even lightly above center as I think that helps prevent the phone from tilting due to the center of gravity. The magnet strength seems just right to attach and remove the phone without disturbing the position of the holder. Once in a while I need to check that the holder is still securely on the vent fin.

It's a great little device. I think I saw it being compared to similar devices on Good Morning America and decided to give it a try. The instructions could be a little clearer, but prepping the phone for mounting and actual installation of the device can be done in just a couple of minutes. I found the roughest road I could to test it, and the phone remained in place through it all. I think I could have shaken my brain loose before the phone detached from the mount. Love it.

It is a little heavy and caused vent to lean down.

Bought this for in my car. Simple setup and works great. It does pull on the vent but I’m ok with that. Also want to make sure you close that vent off to prevent over heating or cooling.

Little metal attachment on back of phone case secures phone to vent clip. Allows phone to be positioned so it is in easy view and allows me to be hands free and keep attention on the road.

Using this on a vent is nice but your vents need to be able to not move otherwise the whole thing will adjust and your phone will fall off. Magnet is pretty powerful otherwise

Do not use the heat when putting this on the vent. Other than that it is a perfect magnetic vent phone holder. Magnet fits behind my case and holds over all bumps, even speed bumps.

This device fits easily on most vehicles and it is outrageously easy to use so that I use it every time I get into the car. The magnet holds really well so the phone has never fallen off and yet the phone removes easily when I grab it to leave the car. Much better than any other holder that I have tried. Much better than the phone sliding around in my console!

I have used quite a few different car mounts for my phone. Most of which used the suction cup mounting system. I was worried that this phone would be too heavy for this mount to hold on to since I use a heavy Zerolemon battery case, but is has more than enough holding power with the strong magnets. The clip that holds onto the vent is also very strong and wont damage your vents because the only part that touches the vent is rubber. It turns out that this mount has more than enough power to hold onto this big phone. One mounting plate was enough to hold my phone since the case of thin rubber material itself. The phone has not fallen off yet even on rough roads. I love how I can adjust the phone to landscape viewing for navigation use so easily with a simple rotation. I highly recommend this car mount for any sized device! Super simple to transfer it from one car to another! It is by far the cleanest looking car mount that I have ever seen. Works just as well as it looks. Highly recommended!!! :D

My phone: Pixel 3xl with a Google fabric case The magnet was pretty strong through the case when I had the plate in the middle of the phone (more on that below) and the vent clip was more sturdy than I expected. It felt really secure popping it on and off with some slight vibrations here and there. Overall, probably sticks to its description, I love how its super minimal and almost stealthy. After installing it and getting home, I throw my phone on the pixel stand (I have 3 of them and love them for the phone) and notice... nothing. I realized quickly that that gigantic plate must be interfering with the signal. I tried a variety of spots and finally find the sweet spot, right over the google "G" at basically the bottom of the phone. It pushes the phone/case out just enough that it sometimes would slide off the charger or disconnect but I got the hang of it and settled. Now, forward to my ride to work, it felt solid but my driving at times is a bit aggressive and turns would tilt the phone enough that gravity would then swing it down. I'm thinking the lack of friction with the fabric case and the magnet is the reason it slid so easy but in the end that was the deal breaker. My beef isn't necessarily with the product itself but more with the description lacking any cautions for people that wirelessly charge their device. I ended up gifting it to a friend so I didn't deal with any customer service or anything. Sorry it didn't work for me!

I started out buying the dash mount one and that does not stick at all so returned and got the vent mount. LOVE that the clip to secure it to the vent is adjustable, other vent mounts came loose and didn't hold. Good magnetic stick until you hit a bump and then can loosen.

I’ve used a few magnetic holders over the years, including vent mount. This is the easiest one yet. It has a spring loaded button you squeeze with your thumb to open the clamps, then release to lock in place. Not in the right spot? It moves easily and quickly. Clamping force is strong and magnetic strength is great. This is the best vent mount magnetic holder I’ve ever used.

I was looking for a magnetic vent cell phone mount with a strong magnet. The magnet is very strong & holds my cell phone well. I like the adjustable, vent grasper, but the magnet is so strong that occassionally, i pull the magnet mount off the vents when i try to retrive my phone. I usually either slide the phone vertically or horizontally off the magnetic mount or instead of pulling my phone straight out, i will slowly tilt the phone at a 45 degree angle first, which seperates the magnets, then i slowly pull straight out. These techniques work 99% of the time.

I ordered a different holder prior to this one and I didn't like the way it held the phone. This one is great. Holds phone steady even over rough roads. Easy to use and mount phone to it.

It serves it's purpose of holding my phone up. I just wish it had another form of adjustment. The vents in my car angle up a little bit so my phone was always at an awkward angle. But I could see the screen still so it worked for my 1200 mile road trip.

Great mount that you don't have to glue down on the dash. Clips onto the vent blades the only downside is that it weighs down on the vent blades and makes them turn downward and the pivot head magnet doesn't point up high enough.

Easy to attach magnets. Magnets are strong. Vents have to be fairly strong to hold larger phones, so check vents before purchase.

It’s perfect for my phone! Ideal for using it in the vent of my car and very convenient when I’m driving and I can see my phone.
