After having the roomba for the month it had been very useful. I does a great job of picking up dust and dog hairs the reason that I purchased it. It is quite and seams to be built well. It cleans in a random pattern so you're never quite sure what was missed if anything. I wish that it could be setup to clean in a more organized cleaning pattern so you felt like it was getting the entire floor. We are very happy with our purchase.

We use this in our Florida home with all tile floors and an open floor plan. We were amazed at the amount of dirt this thing found on floors we thought were already clean. Easy to operate. Virtual walls keep it confined to a part of the home when we want. Dust bin and filter are easy to empty and clean. Returns to its charging dock when done.

Butler is amazing, we had a Neato first and had more issues and malfunctions - thought these robots just weren't up to the task. Decided to give iRobot a try and glad we did. Butler does a great job picking up after our family of 5 plus a dog. His charge lasts a long time so he efficiently vacuums the entire first floor. Highly recommend.

I was super apprehensive spending the money on a roomba. I got to tell you I am impressed and super happy with my purchase. I have a dog and she sheds like crazy and this helps me tremendously in between cleanings. It occasionally does get stuck on thicker area rugs and some furniture, but I use the virtual wall devices to help it navigate around. You won't be disappointed.

Heavy Duty User: I'm a proud Foster Failure - which means we adopted the litter of kittens that we fostered for the local shelter because we couldn't give them back. So, we now have 6 cats total - and fur does fly when they fosters meet our original cat. Usage Schedule: 3 carpeted rooms daily. We have it scheduled to run in one area every morning. When we get home in the evening, we move it to an upstairs carpeted room to run. Results: It does a good job picking up fur. The Dyson upright will get the corners, etc., but we aren't going to run that daily. Volume: I don't think it's that loud. I've watched TV while it is running. It's not as loud as the Dyson. Complaints regarding emptying it: I don't know what to say. The design requires a small bin. If the vacuum is successfully filling the bin - that is it's purpose. I empty it when I move it back and forth between the two rooms of carpet. It does not get as full as it did at the beginning because there's less fur to pick up when you vacuum daily. At the beginning, I stopped and emptied it while it was still doing a room. because - honestly- the Roomba was gathering fur from places we had not been vacuuming with enough frequency - under the bed and under the couches. Pet's Response: the cats were a bit disturbed at first, but now they just ignore it. Cost: The cost is high, but we went ahead and purchased an extended warranty. if you take the cost over the 4 years, it's less that a cleaning service. And, hopefully, it will keep our new carpets looking new.

This is our second robot vacuum and definitely the best. Cleans the floor (laminate) and area rugs well. I move it from room to room and use the electronic walls to keep it in a specific area. It has run for almost two hours and still had battery life remaining.

My wife wanted to get a Roomba. I wanted to get rid of the dog hair in our rescue facility...uh....house. Four big dogs! I did not expect Roomba to make much of a dent but I've been happily surprised. No, it doesn't get everything. Yes, I still have to spot clean. However, cleaning is now manageable in our home instead of out of control. Set your expectations. Plan to empty Roomba daily and replace the filter frequently. You'll also need to take the rollers out and get hair, etc. off of them. This takes seconds and produces surprisingly little dust. This product is expensive. Too expensive? Depends on your budget. You'll still have to clean, but far less than without it. Hope this helped.

This robotic vacuum has changed my life. It is simple to set up, only involves emptying the debris daily. Is awesome on wood floors, tile, and carpet. Saves my steps! Would recommend for pet owners! The best purchase I have ever made!!!

Does a fantastic job of cleaning my entire apartment. Has a slightly difficult time finding its way back to the station soetimes after it goes into multiple rooms but for 1 or 2 rooms at a time, it's perfect.

My wife and I use to come home everyday and spend 30 minutes after work vacuuming the house. Now we come home to a hairless clean home everyday thanks to our Roomba. It has literally changed our lives and given us more free time to spend with our daughter. I recommend this to anyone who struggles keeping a house clean with large dogs.

The roomba 880 is very good at vacuuming and it has great suction power also the scheduling feature is very helpful. However, at times it leaves some very visibles spots unattended and things left on the floor such as USB cables and wirings can easily get stuck in it and cause it to stop vacuuming until you fix it. The remote sometimes would get unresponsive for me without a reason. Another thing I wished I had but I didnt need is the app. This product does not work with the iRobot app which can have you decide which rooms to clean and when to clean on the go, but it's not a very much needed feature once you schedule it.

We use this on the hardwood floors of our secondary home. It does a good job vacuuming up dust and particles around the house when we're not around. The floors have slight stepped transitions in height from one hardwood floored room to another. The Roomba is capable of climbing over and down these 1/8 - 1/4 inch transitions but fails to vacuum any dust trapped along the edges of these steps. As well, it does climb up onto area rugs but if the rug does not grip a slippery floor well then the Roomba can move rug and fail to vacuum over the pile. If the rug has long tassels at the end they can get caught in the rotating brushes and stop the Roomba cold in its tracks. It does have a knack for picking up LEGO block, though. Watching the Roomba navigate is like watching a self-driving bumper car. It's quite entertaining to watch the fuzzy logic at work when it first tries to learn the lay of the land. We like the machine cause it can vacuum under our raised bed. Every time it strikes a barrier it will back up and rotate a few degrees and then try to power forward. So it can get caught under and between chair legs that are spread barely wide enough for this big vacuuming puck to fit or in places where there were unseen barriers like toys under the bed. The 880 came with two "lighthouses" or invisible barriers. The Roomba won't launch itself over a staircase but using the lighthouses does steer it away from areas that you don't want it to go (like our bathroom). The machine is not whisper quiet but it's not as loud as a Oreck XL we use. Overall, we like this product despite its high price point. It fits our needs but it doesn't suck crud up like a Dyson. If you're lazy and/or busy and need a simple expensive solution then this is the product for you.

This rumba is good for superficial cleaning, it will not get the corners and sometimes will skip areas. It is good for a rapid cleaning on carpets and hardwood floors area . If you want a thorough cleaning this item is not for you. It will not fill the the small canister fast. Slowly will learn the area but its function is erratic. (It loves to be under my bed) and sometimes it looses its way to the base. I would expect a better cleaning for a high end product. I will recommend this product if you don't mind to vaccum every week.

This product has helped reduce house dust and I never expected it to replace a full sized vacuum. Pros: 1) It has significantly reduced allergens, dust etc from under couches, beds other furniture it can clear. 2) I seem to have less dust on furniture, window seals etc. since using this almost daily. 3) I like that I can program it while away at work. Cons: 1) It seems to gravitate to certain areas and repeat or run over the same small path 10 times and miss other areas. 2) It loves to eat thin cords like phone charger cords but does well with larger cords. 3) has issues docking at times with the docking station on various hard and soft surfaces against a wall. 4) Does not do very well on tile floors with grout groves; much better with carpet or wood laminate flooring.

Pros: The suction power of the roomba is strong enough to pick up lots of dust. After using it the 1st time, the house looked and was clean. Can go under tables without needing assistance and reach places that normal vacuums can't. Does the vacuuming for you. All you have to do is just move wires, objects, and furniture out of the way to vacuum the area. Easy clean up after use. When it finishes vacuuming a room, it will stop automatically. Schedule program allows you to choose which time at your convenience to vacuum. Cons: The remote that came with it doesn't work all the time. Most of the time it works. Other times you are frustrated and will need to reach over to use the control buttons on top of the roomba. The roomba doesn't vacuum an area in order. If you have a large house especially the living and dining room, you are going to need to use the virtual wall lighthouse accessories to "divide" up the area of the house for the roomba to vacuum because it will randomly go about any direction and can vacuum an already vacuumed area. Also, the journey back to the docking station isn't as straight forward as it seems for the roomba. You need to place the docking station in a dark area that has a straight path for the roomba to charge. Sunlight seems to interfere with the docking process so don't put the station in the living room. I've had this roomba for a month and a half and is a labor and time saving purchase. I can now focus on other stuff than vacuuming myself.

This product is worth every penny. I was stunned to see the amount of dirt the Roomba picked up that my $350 stand up vacuum had been missing! The Roomba is so easy to operate, and I love how effortless it is to keep my house clean now! Everyone needs one of these. Absolutely amazing product.

i have had this roomba for about a month now and i very pleased with it. it is very intelligent in navigating around the room with a recliner 2 couches and a coffee table. I think only once it didn't not find it way back to the home base. the scheduler works well also. it pick up dirt very effectively. I wish the bin was bigger for debris but theta is only a minor issue if you set the schedule for multiple days a week .

I honestly didn't think I would love Roomba as much as I do. I have a chocolate lab that before Roomba I would constantly be finding myself sweeping up piles of hair from my floors. On top of that - I was hating our upgraded super plush carpet that our existing high end vacuum required a bit of muscle to push through. Now, I sit back - run errands - whatever I want to do while Roomba gets busy. The Non Tangle feature of the 880 makes it super easy to empty and clean. Another thing I love is the size - no longer am I searching for a place to hide a big bulky vacuum that I need to pull out often.

I have used 770 before and now using 880. I particularly love the 880 as it doesn't mess with wires on the floor. So far didn't have any issues. Earlier model had battery issues and sometimes acted like a lost puppy and would take forever to find it's dock. I will update if i encounter any new issues with the 880. I think they should also invent a lawnmower, That would be cool!

iRobot Roomba 880 Vacuum Cleaning Robot was my best buy!!!! My home is always clean!!! It's very easy to use and I can spend more time doing other things!
