The Roomba i3 appears to be a good unit, however, we're still trying to figure it out. Out of the box, we had to connect it to our wifi. It wouldn't work with 5G. Fortunately, we also had a 2G link. We also have some thick shaggy throw rugs that caused the unit to hand up. My wife is removing the rugs and scooting other things out of the way so it can perform. Hopefully, in due time it'll figure out how to clean without our constant attention. It's also noisy and will keep us up at night if programed to run in late hours...

Man!! Best thing I ever bought. These hardwood floors always dirty cuz these wild teenage girls I call daughters live here. They constantly drop food and act like they were never there. But this bad boy right here finds it and saves them from an angry mother every time. Also allows my wife time to do more important things like binge Apple TV or Netflix…. So if it keeps her busy, I can play Xbox. I call that a win!

Bought to replace another brand's robot vacuum and this one blew it away! The mapping is nice so that you can tell the vacuum to only do specific room(s) when it runs. The self emptying is nice as well!

For the price of this, I was expecting something better. We have had multiple brands of a robot vacuum and this one left us lacking. It gets stuck on chairs, on transitions, and ultimately is not worth what we paid. If you don't have transitions in your home or anything that might cause an issue, then it might work for you. Otherwise, there are other brands that are similarly priced that will work better.

I bought this to replace a Botvac that was not functioning as expected. The best feature to this vacuum is the auto-emptying home base. As an allergy sufferer I appreciate the lack of dust cloud that happens when I empty the other one. It does a pretty good job of navigating my space, and cleans well on laminate. Where I deducted a star was because of performance on carpet. It does a decent job, but struggles to fully pick up cat hair. Instead what I find are many little twists of hair that I then have to sweep up separately. Minus that I have been very happy with this robot, and would recommend it for most homes.

I am very pleased with the performance so far. I have three small inside dogs so I’m constantly sweeping and vacuuming. My husband purchased this as a gift for me and I’m in love. You just start it and it does it’s thing, including emptying into the base.

The iRobot was very easy to set up and does an excellent job cleaning both carpet and hard floors.

Love this robot! In the past we had to clean these out daily because of our dogs. Now we empty every couple months due to the vacuum. The iRobot does a great job cleaning! Got this on sale and was a great purchase.

Works like a champ! Handles what we give it easily. Recently had a problem where it would throw Error 26 every time it tried to vacuum. After so many failures, I got an email from iRobot stating that it probably needed a replacement part, and they needed to know where to send it! This was before I could actually file a warranty claim against the failed part, as was my next step according to iRobot's documentation. The proactive customer support really took me by surprise. It's nice to see that the value of the device is not only in the unit, but in support for it.

Works pretty well. Make sure going in, that you are aware that this model does not have room select or a live feed of its progress. What you do get with this one though, is a robot vacuum that is able to clean pretty well any surface and for the most part do that pretty well. In order for this to work as intended, you have to make sure that you do not leave anything on the floor or any small openings for it to get stuck in or on. If you do that, you’ll be very impressed with this devices performance .

This has been one of the best investments ever. Easy to set up and put on a schedule and does a great job. The set up of the home is a bit awkward and even then it's able to get all the corners and areas. Works well on both the carpet and wood.

Meh. It’s not any better than sweeping yourself. The promise of a robotic vacuum is greater than the actual results. Don’t get me wrong, this machine is rather impressive but it’s not for us. This machine is best in a household of a single person who travels a lot, is hardly home and doesn’t have much furniture. We, on the other hand, have a large sprawling house, lots of furniture (obstructions) and we’re always coming and going. Making running the Roomba not as much of a set-and-forget device as we’d expected. Running it at night is not an option, it is very loud. And when the vacuum empties it’s trash bin, it’ it sounds like a plane is landing inside your house. The device couldn’t learn our house floor plan and got stuck. The transition to rugs from hard floors isn’t always smooth. The kitchen area didn’t get cleaned very well. The app was ok, not great. The UI could use some smoothing out on the setup when it did its first run I got a flourless off ses sept, never been able to see it again. So it’s going back. Maybe I’ll just get off my rump and sweep my floors now.

Have been using this since purchase. very good. noisy. battery life is not great. if we plan and clear the area can remember larger areas and clean it with intermittent charging and resuming.

Honestly I was a bit skeptical on how well a robot vacuum would work especially for the pirce of this particular model. Well, it didn't take long to see that this was a perfect instance of you get what you pay for. This unit does an amazing job! It mapped the house much faster than I anticipated (total time mapping 6hrs and 34 mins) Once the mapping was complete I have it set to vacuum each night and its complete in about 45 mins. I am so happy with how well it picks up dirt, dust and pet hair on both the hardwood floors and carpeting, that I even bought the iRobot Braava jet mop which I have programed to mop three times a week. It does an amazing job as well! So, if you are in the market for an extremely well made product that cleans extremely well, This is the one for you!

I was on the fence of getting one. To me it’s kind of a lot of money. The price of another vacuum on the market, Except this one is automated. I asked friends, they said it doesn’t do a 100% job. More like a 95%. I took the plunge, couldn’t be happier. Sure it does like a 90-95% job. Ask yourself, Do you do a 100% job? Do you do a 90-95%? Regardless of the answer, this gets you to 90-95% by the push of a button. I mostly you this on laminate flooring. The carpet it gets everything off the surface. Every once in a while I pull out the manual vacuum to hit the carpet a bit deeper. It’s not too loud but understandably it does make noise. I can almost not hear it if I’m in another room. Im super happy with it. Great product.

I have used Shark, Neato and iRobot so far. I can truly say this concept is the most convenient and most efficient. Definitely does a better job than Others and the bin empty feature is so convenient. It is VERY loud though.

Great product as usual from the roomba line. Very easy to set up and to use. Does a great job cleaning, couldn’t go wrong when buying this product.

The robot does an excellent job on hard floors with pet hair. However I am disappointed with the job it does on the carpet. I will actually vacuum the carpet section of the house before I start it. I also find that the Roomba will just quit vacuuming and not complete the job. I will come home and find it dead in the middle of the room versus making its way back to its home base to recharge.
