My only concern is when we start it up, every one and awhile it will decide to head back home after a minute of vacuuming.

Not worth the price paid.

If you have a lot of space, I would recommend getting a better vacuum or not getting one at all. It takes just under 6 hours to finish one floor and even after running it at least every other day, it still can’t find its way home.
