These things are amazing! How have we lived life without them! I don't have animals in my home but my son does and has a very expensive iRoomba that also mops. He's been after me for 6 months to get one saying it's going to help you out greatly cause there's days I just don't feel well enough to vacuum. Get one, you won't be disappointed. This is the wife doing this review.

A bit noisy, and it slams into walls with too much force, this could be more predictive and lighter, or have a padded bumper to reduce the noise.

I did however have to move the base to a different location so I did the mapping process again but it now seems to have a more difficult time navigating to different rooms. So that has been frustrating. It also mapped once which takes a while as is and then didn't save it for some reason so I had to do it all over again. It has it's issues but I like not having to vacuum especially since it needs kept up with constantly.

One downside is that we do have a thicker shag area rug in our living room, which the Roomba will not go up onto. So, we do have to use the Dyson for certain areas still. So, I would probably rate it a 7 out of 10
