Request from my lady....I want a Roomba. So, when there was a Black Friday deal on it I decided on the i3+. I never considered one, figured it was nothing more than a toy. Was I wrong! The i3 goes everywhere, under the couch, bed, furniture. Cleans great. We love the Automatic Dirt Disposal. You still have to check the wheels and rollers every few weeks. Only had to clean the front wheel once. No camera but it knows where to go. Don't need it to stay out of any areas or just be able to do one area, so this was a better deal for me than the i7. No camera means it can work in the dark! It's quiet and when it empties it sounds like a regular vacuum. but only for about 15 seconds. Bought an Alexa Flex and placed it nearby so we control "Rosie" by voice. We are moving to a 2 story home in 2021 so we're planning on buying another i3 for the upstairs. Goes from Carpet to Tile to Bamboo flooring easily. Climbs over thresholds. Of course, first time out, I followed it around. Now I just let it do it's thing while we're out. We have the unit in back of a nesting table in the living room, virtually out of sight. Directions say to have 4 feet clearance on each side, but it's about 2 foot on one side and 3 on the other and it still finds home base! If you don't need the feature that lets you only clean one room this would be the one to get.

Really enjoy the simplicity and the effectiveness! This is my first iRobot vacuum. So far have enjoyed it! The bin empty is rather loud, our family jokes that the plane is taking off. Have had a few issues with it getting stuck around the base of a recliner on a rug but we now put pillows in this area during the clean and is no problem now. The app makes you aware of any issues promptly and walks you through fixing them. It is also really neat to see the map it creates of your home, as time goes along it seems to know exactly where it is going and cleans quicker. Also does great on our thicker rug! Impressed so far!

Works great but kinda louder than I anticipated but I guess that means its powerful. So far no issues I love that you can schedule it to clean while no one is home using your smart phone. It gets stuck on things here and there but guess that is to be expected. So far we love it and would recommend it for everyone!

Bought this a few weeks ago and I love it. Initially, I had trouble connecting it with my wi-fi but a quick call with customer service and I was up and running. The lady I spoke with was very friendly and patient. It turned out that the vpn I use on my phone was blocking the roomba from connecting. I watched for the better part of 3 hours as the vacuum navigated under tables and between chairs on its maiden voyage. It went back to the dock twice in that time to empty its disposal bin. The self emptying feature is great and has worked flawlessly thus far. I will say that the roomba is a bit fickle. It had zero issues its first time out. I could see it was mapping out and learning the layout of my house and it didn't miss a thing. I have sent it out to clean 3 times since and it ran into problems on 2 of those occasions. Once I had to help it because it got stuck. I gave it a pass because it was a room it didn't go in on its first run. The second problem was that it died 5 feet from the charging dock. Now I will say that I have a bit of clutter around the area where the dock is located so the robot doesn't have as much room to maneuver back home. I'm pretty confident that it will be fine without the added obstacles. Overall, I would say that I'm very happy and impressed with my new little cleaning buddy

I love this thing, even though it has a tendency to get hung up here and there or tangled up on a throw rug at times. This is where you have to learn to put something as a barrier on those spots to prevent it from accessing that location or remember to remove the throw rug until it's done. Another thing I don't like is an error code occurs when it gets hung up which requires you to move it to a new location then press the clean button to make it start again. Although it continues from where you put it, the program resets where it ends up vacuuming the entire house again instead of going over only where it hasn't vacuumed yet and takes twice as long to finish running the program. Other than that, I love this thing.

    Great for Older Carpet!

This thing is awesome. We got lucky to find one when it was on sale for $300 with the dirt disposal. Had one before without the automatic disposal and I'll say, that in itself is a gamechanger. It can just do it's job for a while, empty itself, charge, and go right back until it finishes the job. Don't have to worry about it getting filled up with the small canisters these have and emptying it manually all the time. It leaves our older carpet looking 10 times better than usual, and we can run it a few times a week no problem. It actually lifts the carpet fibers pretty well, comparable to some mid-tier or higher end manual vacuums. Super quiet on carpet too, you almost feel like it's not doing much until you see it. Only complaint is that running it at night is not much of an option because the automatic disposal is like a freaking jet engine it's so loud. But it's not a deal breaker at all. Usually just have it run while we're at work and come back to a nicely clean carpet.

Keeps dark hardwoods and carpet clean

Keeps dark colored hardwoods, tile floors and carpet clean. Works throughout downstairs living areas, kitchen, master bedroom and even finds its way into closets cleaning under hung clothes...and makes it way back to base for charging and emptying debris. Occasional it will vacuum our toy Maltipoo’s small bones or toys if we forget to pick them up but it takes me just seconds to release rollers to remove item and start it up again. I get notifications on my phone if that happens and when it is finished cleaning. I can see the map on my phone of the areas it cleaned. The base with dispenser makes it easy so when roomba returns it automatically empties. When it emptied It sounds like it is blasting off into outer space but worth the convenience. We now have clean floor daily and don’t get out the big vacuum but once every couple weeks. Definitely glad we purchased it.

Where do I start. Best invested I think I’ve ever made. Easy to set up. You can set a schedule and have it run whatever days and times you want during the week. It reaches all the corners and under my couches and hutches I have. Keeps all the little dust bunnies and daily dirt and crumbs cleaned up. Makes maintaining a clean house so much more doable. I wish I had bought one sooner. I love that it goes and recharges itself. Self empties into the bin. And notifies me at work when it’s completed the daily job. The only thing I can think of that is a negative is when it self dumps into the station, it’s fairly loud and can startle you. But no louder than a traditional vacuum.

I recieved thksnin exchange for my jonest & unbiased review. Ill start by saying this is a decent self emptying robot vac, but man the canister is huge for having such a tiny bag to hold the dirt and debris it catches. Is on the quieter side for tobot vacs, it can also be controlled via i robot app or a smart assistant either alexa or Google. I have google and it works nicely. Compared to other brand ronot vacs I have this is a 7 out of 10 stars imo. Some reason I find it to have a odd sound while cleaning and it tends to bump into items around the house more than other brands. Also its a solid black device, which I don't care for the color as nothing in my home is black. Needs to be offered in more color choices.

I did extensive research on the various models before purchasing. I felt this model best fit our needs. It has exceeded all expectations so far. Works as advertised. It will take a few times for it to map out your house. Once done I divided our house up by room. Which was very easy. It's actually fun watching it "learn" your layout. Does an excellent job of cleaning. I'd recommend getting the self emptying version, because it will most likely need to empty itself out once or twice if doing multiple rooms. Totally satisfied.

We have a big house, so we own 6 roombas, 2 with the Disposal system, the i3 and the i7. We own a 500, 600, 800 and 900 series (we love our roombas). The i3 is very quiet and does a good job cleaning up after 5 dogs. We run our roombas twice a day. I do like that the i3 can, just like the older ones, work in the dark, because it doesn't have the camera on top for orientation. It has to do a new map every time it starts up, unlike the i7, but then finishes the job very well. We run the i3+ at night downstairs, where we won't hear it. My old ones are too loud for that. I do love that it empties itself and I don't have to empty the bin by hand, getting dust and dirt around the trashcan. I just check the bag weekly and change it out if it is too full. No problems so far.

We have two German shepherds and I researched for far too long before taking the chance on this vacuum. We just moved to a two story home and we’re replacing our shark that has stopped doing what it’s supposed to. First off we have dog hair EVERYWHERE. We sweep and vacuum constantly on top of running our last robot vacuum, but we also have to lift up bar stools and furniture to get dog hair out from under the feet of the furniture. The joys of having long haired dogs. We just picked up this vacuum yesterday and have run it once.. already I’m incredibly impressed because it is getting the dog hair out from under the feet of the furniture and up to the edge of cabinets. Our other one did not do that. It will be a game changer and time saver in our cleaning routine. The only complaints I have so far is it doesn’t do as well as I hoped on our rugs and when it empties it is so loud but honestly not having to pull dog hair out from under furniture feet outweighs any of that. I do wish we didn’t have to mess with bags and it would empty into a compartment we could detach and empty. I know we’ve only run it once but we’re very impressed and so happy we upgraded to one that ran in lines instead of just bouncing around. Also when reading other reviews I was nervous about setup (WiFi and all) but we had zero issues with setting up, it took us less than 5 minutes.

I have waited a month to review this to allow time to see how it performs. We have a husky in the house, so that means FUR and more FUR. We have run this in the house about 5 days out the week. We vacuumed today (after 2 weeks of not), and our Dyson didn't even have a full canister. Day to day, I do not see husky fur in the house. Furthermore, it has cut down on the dust in the house also. We run it daily while we are at work. It takes 2.5 to 3 hours to vacuum about 1600 square feet. So far we are very pleased with its performance. Now the condition. It gets stuck on the runners for my lazy boy recliner. My wife corrected the issue by rolling up some towels and putting them between the runners so that it doesn't get stuck. Once, it got under a dresser in our room got confused and gave up. SO, the only 'con' I would give it, is that you have to roomba proof your house. Stuff up off the floor, figure out where it gets stuck and do a work around so that it doesn't. In closing. We like it quite a bit. It does a very good job at keeping the floors vacuumed. Around April when the Husky blows out her winter coat will be another test for the machine, but we think it will be fine.

My favorite robot vacuum thus far!! I read some negative reviews & was skeptical….glad I didn’t listen. Solid vacuum, cleans great & clean up is so convenient! (After having to empty each time it was full - this self-emptying feature is incredible!! Clean!) Even though the emptying process is loud, it’s short lived & not a big deal when you consider how good of cleaning job it does. Great buy!

The app and equipment are simple to set up and use. The hardest part was trying to figure out where to place the base. The vacuum isn’t terribly loud and is actually pretty neat to watch as it maps out new areas. It does a great job on pet hair that gathers around baseboards. The dog doesn’t seem to mind it much either. This is our first Roomba so we don’t have much to compare it to, but so far we love it!

So far so good. Cleans well, navigates without issue. Mapped my house completely on the first run. Didn’t need additional mapping runs because it created the smart map and attempts to do another mapping Tun said it would delete current map. The app is a bit janky and won’t pull up the cleaned area map after it runs. Only worked once. Also only sometimes lets me pull up smart map and view, other times it won’t load. But I know it’s there. Overall very happy and it cleans better than my bissell stick vacuum, all by its self with no effort on my part. Love the auto empty to a bag. Keeps dirt and debris from floating back into your face when emptying the bin. Worth the money. I’ll keep it!

Definitely won’t replace your standard broom and vacuum, but helps out throughout the week. I run it a few times each week to help keep dog hair off my floors. The majority of my home is engineered hardwood, and this Roomba does fairly well with it. As others have stated, I really wish it had the room mapping capability to memorize room layouts and enable me to be able to tell it which individual rooms to clean up, instead of randomly moving around each time. I do like how it moves in newt lines most of the time, especially on rugs or carpet. Overall, it does a decent job, considering its price point compared to more expensive models. I’ve noticed that it is quite noisy though, especially when the base vacuum cuts on.

Great product overall. We use it mostly on hardwood floors and it easily guides itself around all the furniture and especially under the beds. Its amazing how much dust accumulates under a bed even though we have baseboard heat and hardwood. It makes sure that it goes back over spots that have registered as dirtier areas. It senses the extra debris and thus makes extra passes on that area. The only problem, which is more of a fact of life than a problem is that the battery starts to drop its charge faster and faster over time. Its just the way batteries are, they don't last forever. I took off one star because of the battery and because it has a very small containment section for the dirt its collected. I spot clean my floors at least 2 times a week with a regular vacuum and let the small wonder do its thing while we are out of the house. Its a great invention that keeps getting better with each new series.

The battery doesn't seem to last as long as my older roomba before it has to go back to the base to recharge. It also keeps getting stuck going from the hardwood floor onto the rug in the family room. The older roomba has no problems with the transition. It does clean well, but seems to take all day to do it since it has to go back to the base to charge more often. The automatic dirt disposal is a nice feature, but not really worth the significant price increase from my older roomba I had to empty.
