I was doubtful at first but have been thoroughly impressed with the machine's operation. It takes very little effort to operate and i get notifications on my phone This will be the second one we have purchased. We like our so much we are giving one to our son as a Christmas present.

Cleans way better than previous 675 model. I love how it will charge itself if it couldn’t finish the job in one go and continue on until complete. Also, the option to add a blocked off area through the app is almost a must have. Helped keeping it out of our Christmas tree area.

My previous product was an i7+, and iRobot has made some significant improvements with the j7. First off, I have the model without the automatic dirt disposal, and I'm going to buy that add-on as soon as they become available. It's worth every penny you'll spend for it. Without it, you are condemned to empty the dust bin at least once during your vacuuming session (depending on the amount of dirt, dust, and pet hair on your floors - your mileage may vary). One new addition to the j7 is the addition of a camera on the front, which is used for recognition of position within a cleaning area as well as for things on the floor that it should avoid. I have not yet completed the training run(s) yet, so my initial cleaning session was a little frustrating as it ran over our puppy pads and got stuck on them. My fault, as I should have run the mapping first, and excluded that area via the app. The j7 cleaning is definitely better than that provided by the i7. Most dust and pet hair is removed. Also, the cleaning pattern seems to be more natural... less wandering through the room in a seemingly random fashion. The j7 seems more focused on getting the job done efficiently. One of the "cutesy" items iRobot is touting for the j7 family is the Pet Owner Official Promise. It's an acronym, and yes, that acronym is "POOP". Essentially the promise is that pet owners can banish their anxiety that their Roomba may smear pet poo all over their carpet (and within the inner workings of your vacuum). You can see it for yourself here: https://www.irobot.com/roomba/j-series#petpromise. Some things you just can't make up. The runtime of my j7 is greater than the i7+. Whether that is because my i7+ is 3 years old, and the battery has lost capacity, I can't say. I can say that I can clean the entire lower level of our home without a recharge between job start and job finish. A win is a win. Like the i7, controlling things with the app will make your life simpler. There is also Google Home and Alexa integration, although I haven't taken things that far and probably won't. I can't think of other things to mention, other than for a current price point of $499.99 for the j7 and $699.99 for the j7+, this is an incredible value for those of us who spent WAY more than that for the i7+. Buy it, train it, and forget it. Forget the manual cleaning of your home floors, that is.

This is our second Roomba. The first lasted several years so we decided to stick with the iRobot brand. So far we are happy with the new vacuum. It does a great job cleaning and we like the ability to start it with our phone.

Good one, cleans thoroughly. I wish I could see the live progress for each job. Cons: In the night time when it is running as per the schedule there are some failed jobs because of low light.

I highly HIGHLY recommend a Roomba. We have ours turn on 3x a week and we have one dog, one cat and we work outside a lot. Roombino cleans so well. He literally saves up like 90 minutes a week. We turn him on and he's off cleaning. So cute

Does a nice job but needs to dock twice to charge battery for a 2100 sq ft home Appears the battery is a little undersized as compared to other units.

Hesitated to buy for my wife. Surprised how much debris is picked up after the first few days. Debris lessened over the past few weeks but floors are definitely cleaner thanks to this tireless robot!!

Best Roomba yet. If you are looking for a low- budget option, you’re probably better off with an i3, but if you have pets or a messy house, this is the one to go. No tangles whatsoever and even goes around our Christmas tree without hitting any presents.

Bought it on sale. This was so easy to set up. It could pair with both my Home Automation as well as it could pair with Alexa. With the software I could call to back to a specific zone of the house and have it cleaned.

Only has a brush that turns on one side that sweeps things into the vacuum in my opinion it should at least have two it vacuum decently but not sure I recommend this one.

I am very disappointed in this vacuum. I had a Neato D7 that stopped working due to Neato not supporting it anymore. I used my warranty to trade in for this. The good: I really like the camera that takes pictures of obstacles. It avoids obstacles too. The bad: Loud doesn’t even begin to describe this machine. I grew up in an automotive machine shop. I know loud. My daughter has a cheap Eufy that is quieter, faster, and cleans better. Sand. It’s It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. The sand chokes the filter in a way that I have to replace it every two weeks. I have tried blowing it out with an air compressor. No luck. New filters every two weeks at least. The side spinner never works. I take this thing apart everytime I use it to try to get it to work. I have to sweep along my walls after this machine finishes what ever it’s doing. Neato and Eufy have magnetic side brushes. This one requires a screwdriver. Time. It’s takes about 4 hours to complete a pass through my house. About 2,400 sqft. Neato did it in 2 hours. Lights. This guy gets confused in the dark. While the camera is good, if my next one has mapping it will be LiDAR. The camera is garbage for my house. I have loads of windows and natural light but it’s still not good enough. It’s afraid of the dark. I wish I had returned it immediately. I suppose I will retire this overpriced hunk of junk to the guest suite and buy a dumb robot to clean my house. The Eufy can handle sand.

I love the mapping feature. With a toddler in the house it’s nice to have someone else chase her mess! I don’t think it cleans as well as our 900 series did but the features are better.

Not bad, actually decided to upgrade to j7+ for the simple reason of less emptying the bin. The suction is good and it gets around easily. Plus the cats love to chase it, extra bonus

It's q good product, however its still runs through the dog's poop and it was supposed to detected and avoid it.

Great product, but need to keep pulling out the stuff it catches between the bin and the rollers. Love how it knows what areas not to vacuum

The vacuum goes around my floors automatically and picks up the dirt and dust very well. It makes a map of the area it’s been in and remembers where to go next time! It works great!

Why vacuum everyday when you can have this amazing little robot do it for you! Our old one got stuck everywhere but the j6 hasn’t missed anything yet after 5 uses.
