I purchased this item without the self emptying feature. It learns what to clean with map option perfect for my apartment. It does a wonderful job.

Easy to program. Mapped our house quickly. Extremely happy with this robot.

Amazing! I set it everyday to do a quick clean and it really helps with daily maintenance of keeping my house clean!

I’ve owned many robot vacuums including those from Roomba. They’re all similarly bad especially when it came to cables. Even the most “advanced” mapping robots would need constant rescuing. That’s not the case with the J7. It’s really neat to see it go around cables and avoiding tangling itself. I also like that it will send me pictures (something I opted into) when it’s trying to decide what to avoid. This is the first robot vacuum I can truly leave alone when it’s running and not worry that it’s going to choke on a cable

Great cleaning job, swear it even makes my hardwood floors look shiny. Not super good shine like after a good Mop but definitely doesn’t leave it dull, we have a shedding Labrador husky mix so if you have a pet you’d understand. The thing we’ve been having issues with is the connectivity. I’ve tried to get it to do just the living room for example or choose a specific program but it won’t do it. Will only start on the regular vacuum clean everywhere setting. The other thing is it had a hard time connecting to wifi when it goes under out bar or bookcase areas. We wanted to put the base under the bar or bookcase as it’s a nice spacious area and away from door traffic but it just would not connect when placed down there.

Absolutely amazing. Takes pictures of obstructions so you can move them and does an excellent job keeping the floors free of pet hair

Outstanding product. I have two dogs that shed a lot. I have it vacuum twice a day and it keeps up with the dog hair. Highly recommend

It does a great job of cleaning my floors. I like how it maps the rooms so that I can have it avoid specific rooms.

Love it but running every day for a week now and every cleaning history report shows "something went wrong, obstacle area review will normally appear here". So, camera is not working right but vacuum's great! Wish you could select & choose history items to delete in app. Also wish iRobot would sell the dirt disposal base separately. Bought without it and changed my mind, but they don't offer it individually.

After talking to an associate at Best Buy I purchased this vacuum because I have a German Shepherd and a long haired cat so as you can imagine hair everywhere the hair does not go completely into the bin and I have to pull it out all of the time so it will continue to run. I had a cheaper version for that worked 90% better than this one

Best robot vacuum. It's clean our house as expected. Mapping is good and able to tell where to clean.

Do yourself a favor and get the one with the dustbin collector. It doesn't get stuck ever. The mapping is a little bit weird but it works

Misses a few things here and there. Great for picking up dust bunnies.

Not only does it clean, it is smart about it. Programed the vacuum to clean three days a week, and it does it.

This is the 3rd iRobot i have purchased. Love the mapping.

This is my first Roomba, and so far I am reasonably happy. It does pick up a lot of dust from the floor, and the navigation generally works well. Object avoidance is also pretty good - it's avoided cords and socks just fine. My side brush motor did break, but iRobot sent me a replacement for free and it was simple to replace.

Glad that I got this Roomba j7! So far it worked flawlessly. It took less than an hour to map out the second-floor space, and did not fall off the stairs. It vaccums my master bedroom and entryway (190 sq ft) in 24 minutes, which used to take my 1st gen roomba (no mapping ability) hours to do (random walking). It's a keeper!
