Needed to be able to run more devices then the Surface Pro 4 had ports, since it only comes with one. Also like that it is made of aluminum and not plastic. So far it's a great little travel hub.

Now i can connect an external hard drive my mouse and keyboard along with a couple more things without killing my battery. Epic!

I travel a bit in the summer and leaving my external keyboard, mouse and headphones at home. This allows me to use only one connecter, making a quick packing up even easier.

Don't know why I waited so long to upgrade, but this made a huge difference. Well worth the price and operates perfectly.

Absolutely no issues with set up on MAC/PC. Does have additional cable if you want to use the charging feature, which comes in handy.
