It always seems like there are not enough USB ports on computers these day. Often when the computer has a good number of USB port most are not in a convenient place to swap out devices quickly. A hub like this one make it much easier. We really appreciate your review.

I purchased this for the Surface Pro to give me more USB port options and that it does well. The one thing I don't care for is when you hook this up to the USB option on the Surface Pro and you go connect an external hard drive to this item, it doesn't supply enough power, so you have to run the supplied AC power into a wall unit in order to give this USB expander tenough juice to run everything. So portability factor is limited if you don't have an outlet nearby. However if you're trying to connect low-power USB things such as multiple flash sticks this is great.

Unfortunately this didn't get the job done. I did ask a best buy employee prior to purchasing but he wasn't sure either if it would work. And couldn't direct me to a correct.

Does What I Needed.
