It is great to gain two additional USB 3.0 ports in addition to the Gigabit Ethernet connector. Strongly recommend for the newer laptops as they start eliminating Ethernet ports and cutting back on USB ports.

It has been working very well for the last 3 months, but I have noticed the Ethernet connection is becoming a little loose. So far, this hasn’t had a negative impact on the connection. I will purchase this again if it fails. It seems like a good value for the price.

I also do some network work so the Ethernet port was an added bonus for a much lower price than it would have cost to buy the two products separately.

The bonus was that this device also had extra USB slots so I could continue to use my USB mouse.

I didn't think the USB network adapter and hub together would overload it and I don't think there's any good excuse for it doing so, but they did. It worked in a USB port on my desktop. Another USB gigabit ethernet adapter with the same chip worked on that tablet. If you have sufficient USB port power, it might be a good purchase, however I'd recommend buying a dedicated USB gigabit adapter instead.

After returning that product and seeing a co-worker getting great speeds with this adapter I decided to purchase this adapter. Works great with my Yoga Pro and I am getting the speeds I expected if not better.

The Ethernet port has worked 100%. The USB ports are intermittent. I plug in a USB flash drive, and it will show up/communicate with computer, but if I plug in a portable hard drive (passport for ex) it's intermittent. If your main use is for this adapter is for the ethernet port/access, it's good to go.

Posted .Hi Kristo, it sounds like the issue you are experiencing with your hard drive is due to a higher wattage power requirement. The JUH470 is intended for smaller peripherals such as mice, keyboards, flash drives, web cameras; gadgets like hard drives require more power and therefore work when connected directly to the computer. As power from the computer's USB port becomes divided amongst the hub, less and less power is available which results in accessories such as hard drives either working or not.
