Caused the computer to crash

Needed this to connect a projector to a MacBook. You have to download the driver. Downloading the driver caused my computer to crash, had to do an hour long call with Apple and basically reset my computer to get it working again.

Well made adapter

If you want to use it with a QHD or 4K, it requires a USB 3 port and can be a little jumpy compared to connecting directly to a video output. Not cheap, but a good workaround if you need an additional HDMI connection.

Acceptable performance

It is not good though for videos. In my case there was a lag when I played the bideo on this screen compared with my other screens that are connected through hdmi direct.

Surface pro

The surface pro only has USB ports so this works perfectly. I was also happy how well it worked with my TV for streaming from my surface pro.

Disappointing Performance

I was able to add a fourth display, and after some tinkering with resolution, I had it virtually "placed" where I want it. However, two large problems became apparent. First, there was a large amount of latency. I initially thought it was my display, but I tried connecting one of my primary displays via the JUA354, and the mouse stutter and frame drops were just as prominent. Completely unsuitable for gaming or even using certain applications which need precise mouse movements. Second, and the real deal breaker, was the display intermittently freezing. I usually couldn't use it more than 5 minutes before the display would lock up, and I would have to unplug and re-plug the JUA354. Thinking this was a USB power issue, I unplugged every USB device other than my keyboard and mouse, and the problem persisted across every USB port I tried. This had potential, but unfortunately, it couldn't stack up with a true HDMI connection. Will be returning.

Everything is connected properly. I would not recommend to anyone. No volume from the tv only lap top volume.

Posted .Hi Sharron, I regret to hear about the volume issues you experienced. In order to change the audio output, you would need to go to the audio settings and adjust accordingly. This could also be due to the monitor not having built in speakers as well. In order to better understand the setup, we recommend calling in to speak with a rep and they will be able to diagnose, troubleshoot and get it working properly.
