I wanted to try using a small television as a computer monitor. The cord would not do what I needed it to do. I was grateful that Best Buy gave me a full refund. The item was more than $45. Al though the cord did not do what I needed it to do, it was a quality item.

I followed the instructions, downloaded the latest driver for it in my PC, restarted my comp, and plugged this into my usb3.0 running hdmi to a third monitor. Fired right up. Great solution to run a third monitor.

It’s my opinion that everyone should have one or 2 of these in any computer environment as a daily driver or as a troubleshooting diagnostic tool.

Good little usb video adaptor for the price.

Windows 10 was able to see the device, install it like any regular display adapter, and I was able to extend out my citrix sessions without an issue. Note if you're working from home and use Citrix, disable your laptop monitor before logging in and just use this and your laptop's hdmi or mini-Display port. No lag running 1080p wide. Worked fine. I'd recommend this model over the cheaper ones, the metal body helps with heat dispersion.

If you don't have an HDMI port on your computer, you can plug this into a 3.0 USB port and it will deliver both Video and Sound to your TV. I can't say if it's backwards compatible with USB 2.0, haven't tested that yet. Appears to be well made, with a clean look and is easy to use. A good solution for those with limited video options on their computer. You might also try a VGA to HDMI adapter but that will not transfer Audio, only video. You would need an additional cable to carry the audio.

I was having lots of connection problems and freezing on my computer till I added this adapter. When I need to unplug the HDMI from my computer it is much safer than a direct plug-in with my HDMI b/c it has so many teeth. j5create makes a great Adapter with USB for easier plug in or out. I have another model that allows for multi-plugs that is also great quality from j5create.

I travel for work and obviously can’t carry a monitor or projector. Having this device allows me to plug into their existing hardware (HDMI). Crystal-clear graphics and videos. Happy to have this device. Only downside is that it needs a driver to work 100% correctly. I didn’t download it and it still works. Someday it might not though.

I needed to connect teo monitors but the laptop only had one HDMI port, no other adapters would work. This adapter did the trick and I can now connect both monitors

From experience with other 3.0 products, you should really use a 3.0 port.
