Nice dock

Because it uses DisplayLink, I just made sure the DisplayLink app was installed from the Microsoft app store and it all worked right away. Nice, slim design with plenty of ports (INCLUDING DUAL HDMI) for most user types.

Beware if for a MacBook pro

Works Great, a Bit Expensive

Great Fit With My HP 1035i Laptop

I now have 2 external monitors connected to my laptop. One monitor is a 27" gaming monitor and the other is a 24" office monitor. It's nice to have the extra screens. I originally bought a different J5create docking station which was not compatible with my HP 1035i Laptop. Tech support guided me to this item.

It connects my laptop to two monitors and my mouse and keyboard. However, I've noticed an issue, and I'm not sure if it is my laptop or the dock. The screens appearing on my monitors appear on my laptop screen and my monitors briefly go dark before returning.

In regards to the power supply, it is not required as it is bus-powered; once the JCD381 is connected to your computer, it is powered and it should be working as intended. Docking station for my home office.
