Nominal, hot as a pistol, at twice the price!

It runs hot as a pistol, which is not my experience for the cheaper docks. The specs are pretty lame, only one 4K port, the other operates at 1K; I wouldn't mind having 2 2K ports.

Thanks to the J5Create USB mini docking station with dual HDMI ports, basically effortless as the driver was efficiently and transparently installed, the peripherals connected to the unit right away were working with the computer. I would highly recommend this unit.

Gets hot and drains battery

Because electricity is passing through the adapter, warm temperatures are to be expected; in the case where it is smoking or hot to the point where it is harming you, we recommend reaching out to support printed on the casing to speak with a representative and if necessary, we will exchange it. This handy little guy helps me dock my laptop so that I can use large monitors and a nice keyboard and mouse. Very important for me at my age! :-) The Geek Squad helped me choose the appropriate mini dock for my set up.
