Maybe not right for my situation

It may have been a faulty hub but it would start to become very hot after only a few hours of use. It was a little more expensive than I wanted to spend as well. I ended up returning this item.

Downloaded the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website and it includes an expired software publisher's certificate. Bought 2/2019, downloaded the latest drivers from them, and it included a certificate that expired 9/2018. Did not try the MacBook Pro we have.

All in one little monster

I did have an issue with one of the HDMI ports not working on the first day. It started working on day 2 and has been just fine. So, still seeing how that works out, but it comes with a 2-year warranty so that's reassuring. Really decreases how many adapters I need to have around.

I previously purchased the Targus, which after 3 months burned out on me, so it forced me to buy this one and i am glad that i did. The item is much slimmer then the competitors, which is easier to hide away. A++

This is exactly what I needed and it works great! It even has 2 USB ports and I plugged in an external hard drive to help save my documents, so I am not constantly plugging in and unplugging them each time.

not compatible with lenovo laptop

Posted .The USB-C Dual HDMI Mini Dock requires installing the proper driver for the video outputs to function correctly. If the driver wasn’t installed or if there was a compatibility conflict, that could explain the error message you saw.

It’s way better than the traditional docking station. I use it to extend my laptop screen to dual monitors via the HDMI ports and for the other two USB ports, I use them for my mouse and keyboard. I’m very happy with this purchase!

Did not work out for my needs

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buyer beware, had to return this because though I mentioned to Geek Squad phone tech who pointed me to this device, that I needed this for a work laptop, he did not think to ask me if it was a locked laptop and he did not tell me that I would have to download software. When I picked up at local store I assumed it was plug and play and could not get it to work. Discovered the problem and had to return it because it was useless to me. Found a different device elsewhere that was cheaper and plug and play that works beautifully for me.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A Best Buy employee recommended this dock when I told him that I needed to connect an external monitor to my new Microsoft Go Suface tablet. I wish that it included a VGA connector for older monitor instead of 2 HDMI ports. I ended up ordering a new hdmi to vga conerter connector to make it work.

Think twice before you buy this product

I hooked it up to two separate computers and they both didnt recognize this hub. I dont like that you have to download drivers for this or it will just not work at all. Other hubs you plug them in and they work instantly. So combined with the high price and problem of downloading drivers and not being recognized, i give it a 1 star

Posted .Proper functionality entails downloading and installing a driver on a Windows or Mac platform. We do have PnP devices. However, if your computer supports DisplayPort Mode over USB-C including Power Delivery there are adapters or docking stations available that do not require an installation of a driver. ** Feel free to contact j5create Technical Support if you require further assistance.
