    After 3 months of owning this product the connections became super poor. The screens would connect disconnect and I couldn't use the USB-C port to charge my computer anymore. Disappointed in the quality of this product.

      Please check to see if there are any available updates for your computer by contacting your manufactures support team and have them assist you in properly updating your computer. Being behind on updates could cause the j5 device to not function as intended. Then uninstall and reinstall the j5create drivers for the USB-C Dual HDMI Mini Dock once more. ** Feel free to contact j5create Technical Support if you require further assistance.     Had to return this item, because it did not supply proper power to anything from my M1 Mac Mini.

      Not working as expected is never a good feeling.       Hello,
      The JCD381 needs to plug into a USB-C port that supports display port alternate mode and to have drivers installed to fully function. Not all HP Elitebooks have USB-C ports with display port alternate mode. Our customer support team is available if you have any questions about the compatibility of our products.

    VERY difficult to set-up and my dual monitors don't work unless I unplug the device and plug it in again after start up. The device slows my computer down tremendously. I have a NEW MacBook Pro, it should not be slow AT ALL!

    You need to download software to use it. It is not plug and play. Not for me.

    Does not work well with Mac, need to install programming from their site prior to even using. When you could just get the Mac product and have it much simpler.

    Doesnt work - way to complicated to install

    Did not work at all. HDMI connections would not get my monitors working - and they do work because I have other connectors that work fine. AND you have to install code and then RUN it all the time. No Plug and Play here. Totally not worth anything!

      The only ports that are PnP are the 2x USB Type-A. The HDMI's and Ethernet requires drivers. Depending on the OS you have, different instructions apply.     Video doesn't work on a 2018 MacBook Pro

    Bought this to run two monitors from a 2018 MacBook Pro. It would produce video on one of the HDMI ports at a time, and even that had strange problems. Only part of the menu bar would render, and windows would have blank areas.

    This is the 2nd J5 Type C mini docking station I bought from Best Buy and J5. The first one lasted 4 weeks. This one made it 6 weeks. Save your money. They don't last if you use them.

    Very difficult to hook up. Bought it a few weeks ago and still can’t get it to work properly. This is NOT plug and play at all. You will need some advanced IT skills to get this to work

    if you own a mac, don't buy

    It requires special software for a new Mac Pro. I had install problems and I am a programmer and a life long Apple user. Even after installing, the HDMI video let me down a few times. In the end, i took it back to Best Buy and purchased the Apple cables.

    This device did NOT work for the video (HDMI) portion. I downloaded the drivers and still nothing. If you are looking for something similar make sure it is plug and play and has the dual connectors. You can find ones that work and are less expensive.

      I regret to hear about your experience with the JCD543. Due to the hybrid architecture of the docking station, one of the HDMI ports on the JCD543 require DP alt-mode/thunderbolt 3 to function. In the case where the computer in use does not support such feature, the HDMI will not work, but the driver based HDMI will. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this caused. We do have other models that are fully driver based and do not require that built in feature on your computer.
