Posted .The Adapter will get warm when it's transferring data or charging devices connected to it. The constant transfer between the two causes the heat up as it takes energy to move data. Through repetitive use, excess energy is used and transformed into heat. Please note that hotter operating temperatures can be expected.

Had to return it for a J5Create USB-A to HDMI. It did work with my company HP laptop, but I didn't buy it for that one.

Just wish it was more specific about what it WONT work with. For example it doesn’t supply charge to my iPad Pro 12.9” so if I want to use it I better have a full battery on my iPad Pro.

Posted .Generally, adapters emit some heat as a normal part of its operation. K+M lagging is the result of wireless interference from USB 3.0 devices, such as external HDD and other USD 3.0 removable media. In situations where you are unable to create much distance between the USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices, use a USB extender cable to increase this distance.

Works - but suspect. Many caveats!!

If you spend a huge amount of time searching and experimenting - you will find better products out there. This is very average. I downgraded it to 2 stars after buing a jScreate 108 W power adapter that does not work. This a huge headache for these types of products - as they need higher power input - in order to charge the laptop sufficiency while using the dock/adapter. So many games with these cheap products that turn out insanely expensive.
