Got this as a replacement for an original Apple HDMI adapter that started to fail because of fatigue on the cable. It has worked without an issue for a few months. I give it pretty rough treatment because it is always connected to the ipad when I travel so if I get a couple of years out of it, it'll be worth it.

I learned a little more about different HDMI and Display Port standards after I purchased this and subsequently returned it. I needed this to use the USB-C/Virtual Link port on my new video card. For the most part, standard 4K video worked. However, when I enabled Dolby Atmos audio and HDR it is not supportable. This is because it is only a Display Port 1.2 and those features are more for DP version 1.4. I attempted this with my Oculus Rift as well and continued to get flickering, which is not good for VR. If you are simply trying to output video and audio from USB-C device to a display up to 4K, this works fine. If you are looking for something to push current technical high end capabilities, this will not work.

This product was exactly what I needed for my home studio setup. I work on a Mac Mini with dual Samsung curved monitors. The Mac mini only offers one HDMI port so this adapter was easily able to plug into one of the c-type ports on the Mac and seamlessly connect both of my monitors. I have had zero issues and would definitely recommend this product!

Works as intended. It's only 8" end to end. I would have liked an longer option for my application however the connections are very solid so it stays connected if it gets bumped or moved.
