This unit helps me in my business presentations. My older computer can display on HDMI with this adapter. It works seamlessly. A great buy.

Easy to install and works like a charm! Well worth the expense to enable my older computer to connect to a new monitor

My aim was to connect a computer monitor (which had an HDMI output) to the computer tower's video (VGA) input, so that I could free up the computer tower's HDMI input to connect the TV's HDMI output for streaming Netflix. Unfortunately, the computer monitor was NOT compatible with this product, and so I had to end up connecting the TV's HDMI output to the computer's VGA input, and THIS worked great. The reason for my four-star rating instead of a five is because of this fine detail, which does not seem to be stated in the product description. But it works great, when you use it in a compatible set up.

I have an older laptop... and this device can connect my older laptop to my TV... easy peasey

I bought it to connect a computer tower to an TV that did not have a VGA connection. It works as advertised. It does not carry audio, which in my case was unimportant because the computer is for viewing data files. If you need audio, you have to use a separate audio cable. In the case of the TV I have, when in HDMI mode, it ignores audio input, so the audio would not work anyway. As I said, for my use, it works excellently. My recommendation of "Yes" bears in mind the audio limitation.

Quality product that works as intended. Doesn't feel cheap and functions without any hiccups. Plug it in and boom!

Plug and play product. No loss of resolution or audio quality through transfer. Reliable, for sure.

It is good but only work with the hdmi part in the monitor and the VGA in the laptop or computer not the other way around.

Worked right from package for video. Have not tested audio as it requires the USB be plugged in to the computer. My computer has special security software that locks the computer if a USB is inserted, therefore not testing audio. But I have confidence in it working. No drivers required to be installed.

I was looking for a large TV with a VGA port as I run a Projector on a wall in the front of a meeting room and on a large TV on the back wall. After explaining this ti the associate, He recommended an adapter that went from HDMI to VGA. After driving 30 miles and installing it i found that the adapter was not correct. I took it back with no hassle and was assisted in ordering this adapter which works perfectly!

Very simple to connect to laptop and smart tv. Displays clear, smooth streaming video.

Needed to interface existing vga cabling (two) to a switcher with only one vga connector. Needs a USB 5v power supply, not included. Also note it is VGA (db9) to HDMI.

We were working a booth show out of town and the system set to us for the video on our monitor was not working and my laptop does not have an HDMI output and the monitor only accepted HDMI! This adapter was in stock, very reasonably priced and the store had them ready to go for when we arrived! It worked perfectly and saved us at the show!

Easy to install, great video hd and quality sound.

Connect this to your older laptop or desktop, and string an HDMI cable to your TV to view PC output on the TV. On my HP EliteBook laptop, I got no audio when USB was connected to the USB 3.0 port on the laptop; I moved the plug to a USB 2.0 port and it worked perfectly! Happy Me!

This works great for older laptops that don't have HDMI ports and only have VGA and USB ports. Easy to set up with only having to plug in to laptop and TV and you are good to go.
