A good story. OK we all know , Jack Ryan is not a part of this book series, but suspend that for the sake of entertainment, and if you don't Know the different just enjoy the movie Chris Pine is good.

Watched it in theaters, was impressed. So once it came out I figured of see how much it was, not sure if BB was having a special or something, but blurays have been half price their first week lately, so I picked it up. Perfect movie for some decent action.

I enjoyed the plot and action of the movie. While it remained true to some of the basic Jack Ryan story line it made a lot of deviations. If you are a Jack Ryan fan but not a purist it is a fun film.

A solid movie that has a nice balance between story and action. Shadow Recruits origin story is something I really appreciated. I've never read the books and my only information on the character has been through the movies. I enjoyed this much more than "THE SUM OF ALL FEARS". " Shadow Recruit" seems fairly real and you get the feeling that these things could actually happen. And Kiera Knightly who plays Ryan's *spoiler* (future) wife did a nice job as well and its good to see Kevin Costner in some current roles. Overall its a good movie to pop in on a Friday night.

Great action good plot twist unexpected storyline I really enjoyed this movie. I wasn't sure Chris Pine could pull it off but you did a great jobKenneth Brianna was his usual confident believable self. I can't wait to see the next installment

surprised how it held my interest and kept it held. not a big fan of this type of movie but do enjoy them if they are entertaining and i did get it because of chris pine. he did a great job.

Chris Pine and Kiera Knightley? Yes, please, may I have another? A solid reboot of a classic franchise and while Chris Pine may be no Harrison Ford, he still delivers on the role!

I grew up reading the books and watching movies with varied actors playing Jack Ryan (Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, and Ben Affleck). Now we get yummy Chris Pine taking a turn. A thrilling and entertaining reboot. Looking forward to more.

I'm a great fan of Tom Clancy's books and movies as well as video games. This was an awesome movie! Great plot & storyline. A lot of action. Will be watching it over again and again.

If was one of them "blow'em up, shoot'em up" shows, but with some great actors and up coming ones too. I think the concept of Jack was something that could of been written in the series.

I was hesitant because I love all of the written works of Clancy and this is an outside the established storyline tale BUT the acting and cinimatography were enough to even hold me.

OMG! I should stop right there because this is an amazing spy thriller that will change the way one sees movies! a great story-line with back to back action that is sure to keep you glued to your seats. A must-watch with pop-corn!

I was skeptical at first, but it turned out to be pretty good. They over played the idea of him being a Marine making him qualified for the mission, but over all it was a good time.

Although I'm a bigger fan of the other Jack Ryan films, this one does not disappoint. Newcomer Chris Pine is convincing as an action hero. Supporting cast includes Kevin Costner.

Chris Pine is excellent as Jack Ryan and the acting fully supports a somewhat lackluster script. Kevin Costner also shines as a CIA veteran and the action is eventually non-stop.

As with every other movie jack Ryan came to life as a real person as he did in all the other movies as we have watch his life play out through the situations he gets him self in. Great movie a must see if your a jack Ryan fan

I am a huge Tom Clancy fan and I had to see this movie. IT was in and out of the theaters so fast I was skeptical. Not exactly what I imagined, but entertaining nonetheless.

It seemed like all the Jack Ryan movies were less interesting than the one before. This broke that cycle and brought an original story that provided a lot of backstory from the snippets from the books and previous movies.

One of the few movies that I was waiting for the dvd to come out! Characters, action, and plot are all great. Thoroughly enjoyed this addition to the Jack Ryan stories.

Very good spy thriller with subdued action & suspense. The cast does fantastic work & hopefully this is the beginning of another movie franchise featuring Chris Pine.
