Cinematography, plot, actors all combine for great movie - re-intro of the Dr. Jack Ryan character in Tom Clancy novels. Should yield more Tom Clancy movies to come...not to mention Star Trek movies by the same actor.

It was not bad for a remake. It had an updated version that was acceptable. Keira Knightley's character was a little wishy washy, but aside from that it was pretty good.

Big fan of Chris Pine first of all, but this movie definitely delivers. Reinventing Jack Ryan a little bit since they are keeping the same time as today but he's younger. However my husband and i thoroughly enjoyed.

As with most prequels I was hoping they wouldn't bastardize the franchise. Happy to say they did not. Lots of good action and very cood storyline to keep you hooked.

Chris Pine was outstanding in the role of Jack Ryan. Did not miss Harrison Ford. Kevin Costner did a fantastic job as a CIA agent. Would love to see Chris Pine & Kevin Costner continue with the series!

An action movie that involves a man and his fiance who has no idea who he's working for. She thinks he's having an affair because of all the secret things going on.

THIS IS PRE TO THE SERIES STARRING TOM CRUISE. THE ACTING WAS GOOD, BUT HAD A LITTLE TROUBLE WITH THE MAIN ACTOR. I DID FEEL HE WAS STRONG ENOUGHT FOR THE PART.

I love movies with lots of action; spy movies are favorites. I really appreciate that it was a PG-13 rating instead of R. There's really no need for a lot of bad language in a movie. It just ruins the movie.

Some bits you don't want to think too hard about, but for fans of Costner and/or, Pine - or perhaps Branagh or even Colm Feore - this a worthwhile flick. Good enough that we would welcome a sequel....

Liked the older Jack Ryan movies and was looking forward to seeing what they would do with the new one. Was not disappointed. Good story and Chris Pine and company did a great job. Hope more are coming.

I thought the movie had a good cast, good action, and a good plot. I thought Chris Pine did a good job as Jack Ryan - it was a good reboot of the series.

i am big fan of chris pine, and i really how they bring jack ryan into the post 9/11 world, similar to what was done in casino royale with james bond

A very good film, fast paced and well acted. I won't give away any spoilers or plot lines, but I'm not so sure one of the participants would have been so calm, cool and collected as it was portrayed.

This movie is a good action flick with an excellent cast. It could have been made to be more true to the books if Jack Ryan was instead Jack Ryan Junior.

Good thriller. already a well known character in his later years, we now get a chance to see how he started. even though you know he obviously lives through the movie its still full of suspense.

Did not think that the new Jack Ryan actor (Christopher Pine) would be as good as it is!! The storyline is intense and the action is edge of your seat. Great price for the movie at Best Buy!!

Got this at a great price over Black Friday. The movie was entertaining but not great, however, it's worth the watch if you have the free time.

I saw the series on Amazon Prime and just had to get the movie and WOW I wasn't disappointed at all. All the same action and adventure as the series.

This movie is one of the better films in the Jack Ryan collection. It keeps your attention guessing what will happen next throughout the movie.
