Super helpful. You can use multiple ports at once and doesn’t use much energy. I wish it came with a small solar charger.

The Jackery Explorer 290 power generator is a great choice for anyone that spends time off of the power grid camping or anywhere that doesn’t have power outlets available to charge up devices. It is also an excellent idea to have one or two of them available in case of an extended power outage. Since I live in Florida, which has a yearly risk of hurricane related power disruptions, I am looking forward to having it at the ready in case it is needed. I especially like that it provides power without the excessive noise and dangerous carbon monoxide fumes of a gas generator. As long as you understand the limitations, I think anyone will be pleased with the performance and capabilities of the Jackery Explorer 290. It can handle powering devices that draw up to 200 watts using the power outlet. It also provides power from two USB-A ports, and a single 12V car socket. It is charged using the included AC adapter that plugs into a wall outlet, or the included DC adapter that plugs into a 12V vehicle socket. The ability to charge it using a vehicle makes it especially useful and versatile. Very nicely done Jackery! Surprisingly it only takes about 6 hours to charge it fully from empty. Since it is a lithium ion battery, it will discharge itself at no more than about 5 percent per month. This makes it very suitable for storage until it is called into service. In addition to the AC and DC charging cables, also included is a quality zippered soft storage case with the Jackery logo. Available to purchase separately is a solar panel. The Jackery Explorer 290 power generator is a powerhouse that provides more than enough power to charge several different devices multiple times. It will do everything an external battery can, but better because of its size, weight, design and capacity to hold and deliver a charge. Highly recommended for anyone!

This Jackery Portable Power Solar Generator is super helpful for camping; it can support 2-3 h use of an Epson projector, which is a great fun for the whole family at the camping site. Highli recommended.

After having used this for a couple of days, I can attest that this little guy is worth it. In this review, I’ll go over my thoughts on the Jackery Explorer 290 power generator. Note that this power generator is solar powered, but the solar panels are sold separately, link below. *TLDR at bottom ========= IN THE BOX: In the box, you get the Jackery power generator. You also get a car charging cable, AC & AC cable (for wall charging), a soft bag to carry the cables in, and the user manual. There isn’t much set up to do, my generator arrived at about 98% charged so there was no need to charge it out of the box. This generator is all plug and play but I do recommend you read the user manual before using it. There are a couple of important items that may be useful to know like this generator is NOT waterproof. ========= DEVICES USED/DESIGN/USAGE: I tested this power generator with a couple of devices, ranging from various headphones, phones, laptops, etc. Also, note that anything that exceeds a 200W total output, the power generator will shut off. With that being said, this may not be ideal for large appliances or tools like a circular saw. This generator has several buttons on the front. The display button lets you know the battery percentage, the number of watts that are being outputted, and the number of watts that are being inputted. The other buttons turn on the corresponding port. There are two USB-A ports, a 12V “cigarette lighter” port, an outlet, and an input port to charge the power generator. The generator feels sturdy and well built. I was expecting the generator to be a lot heavier, but it is surprisingly light coming in at around 7.5lbs. This generator has the capacity of 290Wh which is enough to charge several items or keep small devices running for several hours. This has many uses from camping, emergency situations, keeping a mini fridge running, and much more. I didn’t get to test this generator in all of these situations, but I did test it enough to know that this little guy should be helpful if you ever need it. I managed to charge my phones, laptop, headphones a couple of times. I also used it to power my monitors for a couple of hours. The power generator can be charged in several different ways. You can use a wall charger, a car charger, or solar panels which are sold separately. The solar panels aren’t cheap but will be helpful especially when outdoors which may be worth the investment. The description says its solar powered but unfortunately the solar panels are sold separately. I charged mine using a wall outlet and using your car charger will take a bit longer. This generator is reliable and managed to charge many of my devices a couple of times with no problems. This power generator can be used for an array of things such as camping, emergency situations, keeping a mini fridge running, and much more. This Jackery generator is very compact and convenient for travel. It's small size means it will supply power for small devices such as laptops and cell phones. I would not use this for any appliances or tools. I think that it's form factor and layout is very nice. It has one receptacle outlet and 2 UBS ports for common use. It also has a DC "cigarette lighter" output as well. I feel that it could have used a USB type C output, but that may be splitting hairs. It features on/off buttons for each of the outputs, which is pretty nice. The display shows you how may watts are being input/output and of course a battery level that shows the remaining charge percent. The unit comes with a nice pouch with 2 charging cords for recharging the unit. You can charge with a traditional AC plug or charge from your vehicle with the DC plug. This is very nice as you can recharge while you are driving to your next destination on a road trip. Then once you arrive you will have portable power at your disposal. I also like that you can purchase a solar panel to charge the generator, which would allow it to be completely self contained and self sufficient. I will consider purchasing the solar panel if I can afford it later as they are rather expensive at the moment. There is not much else to say about this portable generator as it does exactly as it says and has proven reliable. I also feel that a portable power station such as this one is a must have for every household for emergency purposes.

I have had multiple Jackery power banks before and gifted them to others as well because I loved mine so much. They seem to last forever, they're very durable, and once charged they seem to hold a charge for a very long time so even if you don't use it and have an emergency a long way down the road it doesn't leave you stranded. I've never had an issue with one so I was excited to now get a bigger version to take with me on outdoor excursions and still have the capability to power some things that the smaller versions can't handle. One of the things I used mine for was photography lights and strobes on location outdoors. Instead of having to carry some heavy generator or gas this lil power packed beast which is roughly the size of a lunch box handled everything I threw at it and kept on going. We also live out in the country and during certain times of the year we have power outages so looking forward to being able to run some lights instead of being stuck with candles when the time comes. It's fairly light, has a easy to carry handle, rubbery feet so it stays where you set it, easy to read illuminated screen on the side that even tells you the wattage of whatever you have plugged in is using. It also clearly displays the percentage of battery you have left. I liked it so much I purchased the matching Jackery carrying case made for this that holds all of your accessories in a separate pocket but all in one bag with a nice carrying strap. This item does come with its own small accessory bag that holds the plugs that come with it. Not included but also available they have Jackery solar panel kit to power this as well if you're planning on a longer stay out. Overall Love it ! and would highly recommend it and any other Jackery power product.

This Jackery Explorer 290 is an impressive little power house that is portable and useful in so many ways. I have been using this for an emergency power supply unit, portable in the car for road trips, and also for using some tech gadgets while at the park outdoors. 200 Watts of continuous output (400W peak) is reliable and keeps my various USB powered devices charged, but also any of my smaller AC plug machines as well. The digital display is easy to read and helpful to keep an eye on the available power left within the power supply unit. Included with the Jackery 290 is the 12V DC input plug, and also the car plug outlet that can recharge the Jackery. Electrical emergency power without the fumes of gas generators. The handle on this Jackery 290 is easy to carry and hold, and made in a perfect size/shape that can be taken anywhere. A comfortable 7.5 lbs that can be easily handled by any age when needed. You can also charge this unit with an additional solar power format, but that will require an additional purchase. This has been a helpful tool and ally for family trips in the car. Keeping the laptop charged, and the various devices like phones and tablets. Planning on using this for a camping trip soon and hoping to take along a couple of small appliances like a blender or coffee maker along now that I have my Jackery 290 for some solid and reliable power. When I first unpackaged this portable power generator I was very impressed. The weight was lighter than I had expected and the charge lasted longer than I had also expected. The charger is sort of tool box looking with a nice durable handle making it easy to haul around. The outputs provided are 2 USB and one standard 110V/200W plug . The display is very easy to read and gave me a lot of clarity around expected time left on the existing charge. This type of an item would be perfect to use during a camping or hunting trip, or ever having it in the car in case of emergencies. The bright orange color is the only (minor) things that I would change if I had the choice as it reminds me of construction colors. All in all, this item is a must have for those who spend a lot of time outdoors or on the boat. It provides a long charge, has ample output options and is easy to carry around.

Got this to have for when we head to the beach each weekend or go out on the lake to charge cell phones and power any other smaller appliances we bring. The size is great, very compact and easy to carry. It charged quickly out of the box and so far has been tested for charging phones and powering portable speakers. It comes with all the cables you need to plug into the wall and charge as well as the Cigarette adapter to charge from your car if/when needed. It has multiple plugs as you can see from the pics and an LCD screen to show how much battery you have . There is also a solar power charging option that I may look into since we live in Florida and are prone to power outages during hurricane season. This would give this even more flexibility to recharge it during those times to allow us to keep our cell phones charged. I own a permanent Jewelry business and i need my power station to be reliable. With my old power bank i would have to constantly charge after every event. With the jackery I can literally do 3 events before recharging. and these are 6 hour events. I like that its lightweight solid and compact

I’m really impressed with this power station. It charges quickly, holds power for a long time, and runs my devices smoothly. The build feels solid and it’s lightweight enough to carry around for camping or events. Definitely worth it!

Jackery is notable for being a reliable source and a helper for back up electrical power. The smaller size portable Jackery is only good for small low energy appliances like a phone, a small fan, and some other small electronics. It's a small dosage of energy. It's not reliable for long term electricity option or for big energy appliances. It's semi-heavy, you can throw it in a carry bag and take it to charge. Solar, I have yet to test that out. It's also a good back up for power outages, to get you through. Great option for a smaller, lower priced Jackery.

Used it for camping. Inflated all my mattresses and charged all our phones and electronics. light weight and i even have the adapter ro jump a car battery. This thing is plenty powerful!!! Also used it power my projecter so the kids could watch movies in the backyard without running long extension cords. Worth wvery penny.

I purchased this last year right before Hurricane Beryl so I would be able to charge my phone and other necessary electronics, the Unit itself holds a nice charge longer than I expected. I used to have a gas powered one but gave it away when I moved ( yes there are regrets ) because it was too heavy to move. This Unit once charged holds the power for a long time and small enough to transport with you. It’s been totally worth the purchase and I highly recommend this power charger especially if you are in storm prone power outages or if you need something for recreational time away from power sources ie; camping, picnics, etc.

My family and I love this Jackery portable power generator. I mainly got it to use it when we go camping. I haven't used it for that purpose yet, but have found plenty of uses at home. To begin with, this portable generator is very light, it only weighs 7.5 lbs. Once I took it out of the box and turned it on, I noticed that it was almost fully charged. It comes with a nice carry case for the cords. This Jackery generator is very simple to use. The display is very easy to read and you have different options to charge this generator. You can plug it to a normal outlet, plug it into your car or use solar power if you have it. Once you are ready to use it, the options are endless. You can use it to charge multiple devices at one time. On my first use, I took it outside to connect it to a portable vacuum for my car. It was nice not to have to dealing with a long cord when I have this generator just feet from my car. My wife hates dealing with long cords to charge her I pad, so I just placed the generator next to her bed so she can use the short cord instead. Eventually, when the weather gets nicer, the plan is to take this Jackery portable generator camping. Overall, I am very satisfied with this generator. If you are in the market for one, I highly recommend that you consider this one.

Such a great product! Used it for a roadtrip from East Coast VA to mid west Canada to charge our phones! We didn’t stop and a full charge did 1d16hrs of driving charge got down to 76%! Perfect!

Great and easy to use. Provides plenty of power and lasts quite long - better than a UPS. A little bit of noise . Very lightweight and portable- very convenient.

Great so far took it out camping and run my airbed, phone charger, with very little usage, great little generator.

Three newer version of Jackery's solid mini series. We loved having these at our camps, and getting another just seemed like a no brainer. From charging multiple devices, to a pico projector. This little unit packs a punch.
