Hits from her short lived career. Good Tunes from a by-gone era!

She probably wouldn't go far today on "Voice" but she raised the bar during the turbulent time of her generation. These songs are from a time of political movement, war, civil rights ("ball of Confusion" by the Temps comes to mind) and she became the symbol of the American youth (who are today's CEO's and politicos).

I saw a musical several months back about Janis Joplin and I just had to buy as much of her music as possible. I love this album. It has some of her best songs and I've had it on repeat for Lord knows how long. Best Buy was one of the only places I could find her music at a brick and mortar store!

Has all the big Janis hits with 12 tracks total. Bands include Big Brother & The Holding Company, Kosmic Blues Band, and Full Tilt Boogie Band that Janis performed her songs with during her brief career. CD includes informative history of her life and rise in the music industry.

I love her music and I miss her, she would be on the concert tour again and more of her older followers could introduce the younger ones to her terrific music.

Is this a real Janis collection for the kind of fan I am,no. But this is a great cd to throw in the car player and cruise around with a few of Janis tunes.

If you are a Janis Joplin fan, you need to have this CD. Whether you grow up listening to this music or not, you will love this album.

Janis joplin is one of my favorites and this album has all the great hits... of course. Haha but still, super great album

My husband bought this CD I had forgot how many of her songs I liked. Lots of her best songs on this CD. Great gift for any Joplin fan.

Nobody can sing these tunes the way Janis does. One of a kind voice and one of a kind delivery. Love it!

Many of Janis Joplin's greatest hits. The sound is a little rough on a couple of tunes, but all in all a great collection of music from late 1960's & early 1970's.

This CD has all the best Janice Joplin songs. I love it and listen to it all the time.
