I bought 2 true wireless earbuds before but Jaybird is the best. They fit well. Sounds good. No losing connectivity unless i'm in high electrical magnetic field or zone. Using Jaybird's app, EQ can be adjusted. For 3 months, i had no issues with them. When u put earbuds into case, they stay shut off until u open the case. My only problem is that battery case is too smooth and feels slippery. I would love to have some texture or something to help me keep a grip on it.

Was excited to try these guys out but a day later I was having problems with the left earbud disconnecting somewhat ruining every workout. Sound quality is prefect and you can really hear all the bass being a great audio experience. The sweat resistance is a nice feature and the ear hooks fit perfectly. On another note if your ears produce a lot of oil your gonna have a hard time keepin them in.

The idea of wireless ear buds was very appealing and since the charger for my Jaybird X 3's broke I decided to try the Jaybird Runs even though they had questionable reviews. The Jaybird Runs were fully charged as soon as I unpack aged them then I used the Firmware update tool and confirmed they had the latest firmware. Sitting on my desk the Run's work perfectly and using the app I was satisfied with the sound quality. When I left the house and started to walk around is when I immediately had problems. For very quick moments the left ear bud would drop connection then quickly regain the connection. I tried everything that has been suggested in past reviews and suggestions from Jaybird but switching pockets and everything else did not work. The attached picture shows that the left bud used less power due to less time working
I am a longtime user of Jaybirds and have had X2's and currently I am using a set of X3's and have been very happy with the Jaybird products. Due to my history with JB I decided to call customer service and attempt to find a solution /fix for the Run's instead of simply taking them back to Best Buy.
Jaybird customer service is an exercise in frustration and I never want to call them again and will think hard before I EVER buy another Jaybird product. The call connection is scratchy and it was extremely hard to understand the rep on their end. The rep went through their script and I quickly decided that I had already tried all of the remedies they wanted me to try but I wanted the ear buds to work and stayed on the line and kept asking them to repeat due to the very poor connection. The final result was that they wanted me to return the jaybirds at my cost for shipping and they would send a replacement set in 6-8 weeks. I had to keep from laughing out loud and politely told the rep that I would return them to Best Buy.
After I was done with the Run issue I asked about a replacement charger for the X3's I have. I tried to order one online and found that they were out of stock. The rep went through all of the questions and after I sent them a picture of the charger and my X3's she said they would send a replacement for free. She advised me that I would receive an email that would have a tracking number for the replacement charger and I thanked her for the free part that I was willing to pay for.
A few days later and after my X3's had lost charge and cannot be charged due to the broken charging clip I called Jaybird customer service and asked about my tracking number for my replacement charging clip. I was told that my replacement had been denied due to an unverifiable address. I assured them of my address AGAIN and was told the charger had been approved.
Now over a week later and being unable to charge my X3's I called ask about my replacement charger and once again I was told they could not verify my address and the claim had been denied. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was denied but was assured the claim had once again been approved. I finally hung up and I do not believe for one second that I have a charging clip approved for my earbuds.
I use my ear buds every single day and my $150.00 X3's are completely unusable due to a broken and un replaceable charging clip. I have been a happy customer of Jaybirds and would have bought the new X4's since the Runs do not work but I see that the X4 uses the same charging clip that broke for the X3's.
This has been a very sad experience for me and I will have to go to Best Buy today and look for a new set of ear buds.

I’ve been buying Jay-Birds since the X1 series, and I’ve been more than pleased with them. I figured this would be just as amazing without the wires, so I purchased them.
Pros: They sound amazing as expected, and they are light, so you barely feel them in your ear. The multiple style ear pieces for the speaker itself are great as well, soft and comfortable.
Cons: The hard plastic outer layer passing the speaker is just too big, and very uncomfortable. It ended up bruising my ear on the inside because it was just too big. I feel that people with smaller ear holes will not enjoy these. They also kept slipping out(more than likely because they were too big)
My suggestion stick with the x series is they still make them, and stay away from these if you have small ear holes.

I’ve been a fan of Jaybird for a while. The Jaybird RUN is no exception. Small and compact with fair sound. The sound quality is great. It can be hard to hear in a noisy environment, but other than that, they work very well. Small pairing issues every once in a while switching between YouTube, Spotify and a phone call. The buds themselves sit comfortably in ear, securely with out any worry of falling out.

I'm a sound freak! I've tried most headphones in the market it's like a hobby to me and it really saddens me that this ear-buds are not good at all. Bass is good on this but that's it! Low quality sound, low decibel levels (not loud) on android and iPhone, connection is the worst specially at the gym and there's 0 options other than play or pause built in.

Hi jctriple7, we are sorry to hear about your experience with Jaybird RUN. We have just recently released a firmware update that improves Bluetooth connectivity in dense radio frequency environments. I've always been a big fan of Jaybird earbuds, and owned several ones.
So, I was really excited to see their new offering with the true wireless ones.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the connections, and had to return them.
Several times I was losing sound or had to turn them off and back on for both earbuds to work properly.
Now, I just bought the new Bose, let's hope their bluetooth connection will be better.

I purchased these to replace my Jaybird X3’s as I loved those for the gym. I got these headphones for a great deal along with Geek Squad protection support. Unfortunately, they are useful everywhere BUT the gym. Which makes them useless for their main purpose. I gave it a week before returning ,but sadly the Bluetooth in these are garbage. Everything for me that I need for a good headphone is done great by Jaybird. But these headphones normally retail for $180+ and for that premium I expect no less than Apple EarPods quality. The sound on these for me are far superior than apples airpods. The fit is customizable and can really get personal with that. Sadly after an hour they start to really kill your ears. There’s also a huge issue where watching videos with bothcheadphones on or playing games with them has a very noticeable 2 full seconds delay. Which makes them useless in that regard as well. Apple AirPods do not have that issue. Lastly, the biggest offender of them all is that at the gym my headphones were unuseable for music as they would skip constantly and lose connection. Especially the left ear bud. The connection for these headphones is the worst I have ever experienced. Even after updating the headphones and resetting/reconnecting it was impossible to use these for the gym. Which is the main reason to purchase these. A lot of people had this issue as well.
Which is a shame because I really wanted to keep these. I wanted to stay loyal to Jaybird as their Jaybird X3’s were truly the best headphones I ever had. Having lost them I decided to upgrade and figured the runs would be equal or better. Unfortunately two major flaws as described above ruin them :(
TLDR: Two major flaws make these unusable ( poor Bluetooth connection & extreme delay between video watching and audio)

Hello Gabe,
We are sorry to hear that you're experiencing connectivity issues with your Jaybird Run and we'll be glad to help you out! Just send us an email at [email protected] and we will get you taken care of.
Here are the instructions to factory reset your right earbud:
-Turn off your right earbud by pressing the right multifunction button for 3 seconds. -With your right earbud off, press and hold the right multifunction button for 6 seconds until the LED flashes green. -Double press the right multifunction button. The LED will flash orange and the earbud will turn off. Your earbud has now been reset. -When you hard reset your earbuds, you will lose any saved presets and any saved devices on the paired list. You’ll need to forget Jaybird RUN in your phone's Bluetooth device list, repair your earbuds to your Bluetooth device, See How do I pair my Jaybird RUN earbuds? and reselect your favorite preset from the Jaybird app.
Firmware update can also help, you can find the update here:

I’m an endurance runner and put all of my gadgets to the test. The first time I ran with my new JayBirds, I put in 21-miles and the battery never failed. Since then I’ve encountered various weather conditions and I have not been disappointed. Most importantly, the sound and comfort is excellent! Worth every penny!

The headphones connected immediately to my iPhone and iPod Touch via Bluetooth. Had the hardest time connecting them to the app, actually, which worked out after a few tries on my phone, but failed to work on my iPod. Sound can be customized, which is great. They stay in place while running and lifting weights. Insanely nice not to have a cord getting in my way at the gym!

These headphones fit snugly in your ear, even during rigorous exercising. The Jaybird app also allows you to make nice adjustments to your sound profile and update the earphone software, as needed. I ended up keeping these earphones despite a few issues that still happen today. First, the earphones lost their bluetooth connection frequently, especially when using them in a gym. Second, there are times when one headphone loses a charge faster than the other, despite charging them at the same time (for the same amount of time). The carrying case is small and easy to transport. Despite their flaws, these are still my "go to" earphones when exercising. Once Jaybird fixes the connection issues on this product, they will be formidable contenders against the Airpod Pros and Powerbeats Pros.

My initial use of this product was great I loved the customization it came with and how comfortable they were. I use them for working out and daily when I go out. A MAJOR issue I have with these is the fact that if you want to use one earbud you can only use the right one. After a couple months the loudness significantly declined and it was really low. I also recently have had trouble with charging, i would open the case and put a bud in my ear and they would say 80% it doesn’t charge fully. Another issue it has is connection, it will go in and out on occasion for no reason at all. A big problem I’m having is I’ll have to open the case and close it and open it again in order to have them light up and turn on and connect to my phone. Overall it wasn’t worth 200 dollars. The AirPods are probably a better investment and they are cheaper.

Had the Jaybird X2’s and loved them. Just short of end of my 2 year warranty my x2’s got a split in the rubber that covers the cord between them. I’ve used them every day on my commute to work and back. Several hours a day. Worked perfectly still but figured I better take them in. In the two years technology has progressed to the Jaybird Run. I loved the packaging. Gives you a lot of faith in a product when packaged so nicely. Out of the box worked great. I downloaded app and changed up the sound settings. Fit better in my ear then any earphones I’ve ever had. I love the app and that I can use it to find my earbuds in case I ever leave them somewhere. Good to know as much as these cost! Only down side is the price of course. Ridiculous price for earbuds. Also a little bigger then they should be. And the 2 year warranty was twice what the Jaybird X2’s were which tell me a lot of them are failing. But so far so good. On occasion the left one does fade out. It’s rare but it does happen. Overall I like them and would recommend.

These earbuds has tons of bass and great sound. I am selling my other two earbuds, because this one has the best sound out of them. Love them. I am happy to buy these. Stays in my ear, love the pill shape charger on the go, and love how I can use only one ear bud when I need it. Thanks again!
