I love my X3 but wanted to try the truly 'wireless' experience so naturally I went with the RUN. First off my ears are finicky and many of these type just don't want to stay in. I found the medium tips to actually work really nicely. They actually stay in my ears! Miracle! During workouts (kickboxing, crossfit etc) I had no worries about them popping out. The pill case storage is nice and it recharges after use. The easy of pairing to phone was great. No issues there. Now the bad. I didn't like that you have to push the buds for any action as it pushed into the ear. Secondly, the connective issues was terrible. Moving about the left would disconnect and reconnect constantly (I've tried other wireless and these seem to be the worst). I updated the firm wear and it still would intermittently still do it. Volume is another issue. Sometimes it would be just fine and other times even at full volume it was really low. Had to go back and soft reset to get it working again. Frankly, these are the fussiest 'wireless' experience I've had. When it works it works great. No disconnection, comfortable to wear and decent sound to my ears but when it doesn't work which at is point about 50% every time it turns on is extremely frustrating to use when I just want to listen to music while at the gym and not have to fiddle/fight it for 15min. That is fail in my book for $180. Maybe Jaybird will release another update that might improve but right now they are just not reliable and frustrating to use.

These headphones are so great for listening to music or podcasts. I love the sound quality and not having to deal with wires, it makes it so much more enjoyable. The battery life is excellent and they fit well without hurting my ears or falling out. I love them so much I'm ordering a pair for my husband.

Pros—style (they’re small, sit nicely in the ear, not bulbous like Bose seems to think is ‘good design’); comfortable—they got this right too. I found a good fit with the included tips very quickly; sound—well balanced and the app gives you tons of options that you can try (TBH most of them are overhyped—they are all just moving around the same equalizer slider that you can alter yourself); battery life: decent for this type of headset (much better than Sony’s which are really poor for battery life). So why only two stars? Cons—connectivity is really bad. (Bose and Sony both suffer similarly) Turn your head and, um, wait? Where’d the left sound go? Turn head back... resumes. Move iPhone from hand to pocket— yup, sometimes ok, oftentimes not. Move from right pocket to left (like most of these devices the right side ‘leads’ and the left side is left trying to figure out what the heck is going on. In the gym, which is why I purchased these sweat/heat/everything resistant sports-targeted headphones, these things were simply distracting and an exercise in how NOT to focus on your workouts because you were too distracted by the way the music was constantly cutting in and out, full sound to right side only, etc. I do not have any implants or such that might interfere either—the signal connectivity is THAT fragile that turning my head is enough of a barrier that the signal breaks. Really lame engineering—esp from a company that seems to pride itself on serving needs of a highly active audience. In Summary—read all the reviews before you buy. I did, and also noticed that a recent firmware upgrade supposedly fixed this connection issue. Hence my willingness to try them. Sadly the upgrade did not fix this. Mine were returned. Best Buy, as always, was great about it—no hassle, easy, plus an apology that something they sold me was such a disappointment. Testing another manufacturer’s headphones now (yes I bought them at Best Buy!). Review will follow...

Previously owned the X2 and X3 and wanted a true wireless set of earbuds. The cord on the X2/3 would catch or stick to the back of my neck when I got sweaty which got annoying at times, however; they sounded great, never loss connection and fit great. When I decided to get the RUN based on my great Jaybird experience, they flat out didn't work that great at all. The fit was fine, they sounded great, but the connection was horrible. Specifically, the left earbud would drop connection, the buds sounded like the songs were being played faster, and this happened all the time. Every time I used them it would happen. I returned them thinking I got a lemon, but the second set was even worse. I returned the second set for a different brand (Jabra's).

Overall: Good Product, Good Sound, and Stays in ear well. I have been using these for a few weeks. Set up was pretty easy, but I did have to do a hard reset on them after the original connection. They do occasionally lose connection when something changes on the phone (music app change, phone call, etc.) This is easily remedied by either turning ear buds off and back on or selecting a different output and then back to the JayBirds. I have used them both with my iPhone as well as a Scan Disk bluetooth MP3 player. Had similar issues with both, but all resolved eventually. They stay in my ears very well. I had to change the tips, but after that they don't out. I've gone on hour long runs with zero issues. Hopefully some of the connectivity issues can be resolved with future software updates.

I purchased these after my son recommended. So many negative reviews, and he owned a pair. I’m so glad I purchased. Nice clean comfortable design. Very user friendly. Great charge life and great case. Only negative I have is with ear tips. Very weak and flimsy. My son steered me into purchasing foam ear tips. I did and what a difference! Very comfortable, barely know I’m wearing. Couple helpful buying tips. Download Jaybird app, available for Android and Apple. This app makes listening experience over the top! You can adjust your own equalizer for you personal preferences. Plus they offer tons of free user choices to choose from and save. Also, you can update firmware from Jaybird website. All it takes is computer with USB port, your Jaybird Runs, and charging cable. Takes only about 10 minutes and easy to do. I purchased mine in January 2018, firmware already up to date. To summize, extremely comfortable, well built and designed, and completely customizable for individual user. Foam tip purchase is highly recommended.

Bought these for my walks, runs and while I'm playing tennis and just hitting the ball around. Sound quality is good and is better enhanced by the Jaybird app which allows you to tweak and fine tune the sound to your liking. They fit relatively good in my ears and aren't overly bulky. These are the first wireless headphones that I've been able to keep from falling out of my ears. The Bluetooth connection can break up if your phone/device gets obstructed by your body or other objects. The main link between the headphones and your device is the right ear bud. As long as I keep my phone on my right arm, or in a waist pouch and somewhere near the right side of my body, I have zero bluetooth issues. So far I really like these headphones and don't regret the purchase.

Jaybird is known for making great quality products. I had the first generation Jaybird X Bluetooth Headphones. Those were great and these do not disappoint. I first had trouble with connectivity, which appears to be the biggest complaint. However, once the newest firmware is downloaded the connectivity is fixed. They fit perfectly in the ears to the point where one almost forgets they are there. I charge them once a week for my workouts and the charging case keeps them fully charged the rest of the week. Sweat and waterproof keeps these working throughout a grueling workout. Great product and would highly recommend.

I love the Jaybird RUN earbuds! They allow me to walk with the dogs without getting cords and wires tangled up in dog leashes. I can be free with my music in the woods, on the street and just sitting in the backyard. I normally don’t like earbuds because they are so uncomfortable, but these feel great. I was able to use the tips to find the right size for my ear canal and now I forget they are there. I can even take calls with the multi-function button on my walk without having to dig out my phone and disrupt the flow. The sound is amazing! It has very clear, distortion-free with excellent midrange and highs. Even the bass is very good. I wasn’t expecting this much sound quality from these little earbuds! If you are looking for the perfect earbuds for your workout, try Jaybird RUN wireless earbuds- you won’t be disappointed!

I really liked the Jaybird Run XT headphones for several reasons. They had the best fit for my ears out of all the wireless headphones I've tried, battery life was fantastic, and the sound quality was great. Sadly I had to return them for one reason: the pairing process. The right headphone is considered the "master," which means it pairs to your mobile device and then the left headphone pairs to the right one. Of course this means you can't just take the left one out by itself and use it solo. This was an unfortunate choice on Jaybird's part, and one that cause me to return an otherwise perfect pair of headphones.

Very, very particular about headphones. So far, these are going to work. They come with more interchangeable pieces than any other buds ive tried so you can get a perfect fit. They stay in, even when active. Battery life is great for how compact they a free. And yes they are small - which i love! Occasionally, they will randomly disconnect ( and not from walking out of range of phone), and that is why they cant have all my stars. The other thing is they dont have as many options for controlling- each one has a button that you can modify on the app, but only a little. Other than that, i love them!

Read the reviews....but decided to buy and give it a try since I like the brand. Fit was great out of the box. Did the firmware update and connected to my phone. Sounded great when held a couple feet from my face. Took them to the gym and the sound bounced back and forth between the L and R earpieces. Annoying. Took them back after a few days of trying. I would recommend only if you go on walks and hold the phone/watch close to your right ear.

    Good & Bad

The good is that these are some of the best sounding headphones I've ever heard when used in conjunction with their app that allows you to EQ them, They are easy to use, stay in well and very comfortable. The bad is that the Bluetooth connection from the left to the right earbud is awful and the connection from the right earbud to your device isn't much better. If you're planning on using them in your home, outside, or somewhere with very few other Bluetooth signals, I would fully recommend them. However if you're planning on using them at the gym (like I was), or some where with other Bluetooth signals, don't bother. When you're inside somewhere with a lot of other Bluetooth signals (like the gym) the left earbud cuts out all time and it's extremely frustrating. If you're one of the those people that places their phone on the gym equipment while you use it, your right earbud will cut out as well. The busier the gym, the more it will cut out. Jaybird recommends that your phone not be more than 2 feet away from the earbud, so unless you wear your phone in an armband its going to cut out (this isn't the case outside) and they have no recommendations for the left earbud cutting out. I went the rounds with tech support, tried everything they said to try and they even send me new headphone, nothing fixed it. Jaybird refused to acknowledge that there is an issue with the connectivity of the headphone and they are basically no help. They are call "RUN" so I guess they are intended for running outdoors and work great for that, but I had higher hopes...especially for the price.

These headphones are great when you are on the go. ( gym, running, walking, etc )They are light weight and are comfortable in the ears. They do not fall out no matter how many times you move your head and the app really gives the sound a boost . The only reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars is because when you are on your down time and want to watch a video on YouTube , there is a lag with the voice where the mouth is moving and the sound comes after . Hopefully in the sooner to near future there will be an update to correct them .

I bought these earbuds because I needed a truly wireless Bluetooth connection to my smartphone. (Wires hanging around my neck are not conducive to my daily activities.) And furthermore, the earbuds needed to fit comfortably into my ears without falling out or needing constant adjustments. The Jaybird RUN earbuds satisfied both these requirements perfectly. They are comfortable, lightweight, and sound excellent. They come with changeable tips and fins to make them customizable to fit your ears. They last about 4 hours on a charge and come in a small case that recharges them fairly quickly (the case acts as a charging station even when not plugged in). When the charge on the earbuds is depleted, you put them in the case and they will recharge at a rate of about 1 hour per 5 minutes in the charger. So after 20 minutes in the case, you have 4 more hours listening time. The case allows for two charging cycles after the initial 4 hour charge, which gives a total of 12 hours (with two 20 minute charging intervals) listening time before having to plug the case in to recharge the whole system. There is also a Jaybird app that you can download into your device. This app has many options that allow you to set the sound control to your specific liking. The are pre-set sound settings as well as an equalizer to create your own customized settings. I found this app to be very useful, as I listen to many different types of music, podcasts, etc. so I can adjust the sound for each to get the best listening experience for my hearing. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. I'd buy these again if I needed to, and I do recommend them to others.

I just got the Jaybird Run True Wireless Headphones and I'm completely impressed. From opening the carefully packed package through the whole set up process, it was an easy, no stress process. They instantly pair with the device and perfectly stay in place. The earbuds come with different sized tips (in oval and round) and fins so I get the best fit all of the time. The sound quality is so clear, just the way it was intended to be heard. There is no muffled or distorted sound. They don't slip out of place even with excessive movement or moisture. I love these.

Bought these to try out a set of completely wireless ear buds. Paired with the app, the sound is great after adjusting to your preferences. The fit is very comfortable and I have had no movement while working out. The only bug that I have experienced, and have read other reviews about, is that the left ear bud occasionally drops out. It has not done every time I've used them, but it does happen. That would be only reason I don't give 5 stars.

These earbuds are amazing. The sound is incredible especially paired with the app. It takes some playing around with, but if you take the time you can get a fit that will not fall out and provide the seal needed for the perfect sound. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5: When on a call, having only one bud with voice is annoying. Also there are minor connection issues when you take out one earbud at a time.

Besides there being no wires, I think my favorite feature is the case as you charge the case and it charges the earbuds making it perfect for on the go. Since this is an in the ear product, it’s not a once size fits all. Jaybird has included 4 different ear-fins along with different tips so that you can find the right size for you. Besides the charging case, you also get a small pouch that will fit the case and the cord making it all in one place easy to access.
