I wanted to love these. i like the improved earbuds but the hit and miss connectivity issues made me return it. latest iteration of the jaybirds left me no choice but to buy a new X3 from a reseller instead.

The first exposure to water, during a run in the rain, destroyed the sound in the right headphone. Water ingressed between my right ear and ear bud and almost instantly changed the sound. First there was a strange wobbly sounding echo. Now the right headphone is dead. Volume control on the left is unstable. It progressively lowers with respect to usage time. Also, I lost the ability to pair with my Garmin. These particularly headphones, at the very least, were poorly manufactured. They’re supposed to be IPX7 rated for ingress. That has not been my experience. I purchased the protection plan and am even reluctant to trade these in for another pair considering how disappointed I am with the quality. I should note that I’ve had $20 pairs of earbuds, not waterproof rated, that have endured exposure to plenty of rain storms. I would not recommend these headphones to a friend.

Please try the following suggestions to resolve the issue of your headset:
-Move your earbuds and your Bluetooth audio device closer as you may be experiencing Bluetooth interference. While the range of most Bluetooth devices is 10 meters (33 feet), the optimal range for any Bluetooth stereo device is about 60 centimeters (2 feet) from the audio source.
-Your earbuds Bluetooth antenna is located in the inline remote. Try moving your audio device closer to the side where the inline remote is located. For example, you can try moving your audio device to your right pocket instead of your left.
-Reset your Bluetooth connection by turning your device's Bluetooth off for one minute and then back on.
-Turn your audio device off and then back on.
-Complete a reset of your earbuds.
